Sold up my next weeks WL team already. Won a DKT with it this morning but the defence just seemed all wrong and Schweinsteiger was dead after half time which didn't help. Blatantly going to be hit with a price hike going into next week presuming they follow through. Smalling plays almost like a God v me, played more like Titus Bramble for me... Back to the drawing board - hopefully Henderson gets an upgrade today.

Give Luiz and IF Reid a shot as a partnership.
Or Koscielny and IF Ake. I know he's just a silver but with a sentinel on him he's brilliant. I only stopped using him because I had to sell him to fund Son

Decided I'd grab Son to replace Firmino, within 4 ingame minutes he grabs his first assist...

10 games down now, W.7 L.3. First game I played I was 6-0 up and the bloke DCd. We were only 60 minutes in. Poor fucker, I presume this is one of his first WL given how he played, doesn't know the pasting he's about to get.

Ffs I can't afford this having to have a new WL teams for each week from different leagues

When I said I was losing to teams whilst dominating them, I meant it and the two games I've played since I left the shoutbox I've pictured below. This is literally my weekend league. I think maybe three defeats have been fair cop and I'm choking massively towards Gold - need three wins from nine games -Bear in mind I was 11-5 I think at one point so I've lost 11 of my last 15, literally 8 of those loses have been like below.

Lost both games 2-1.

Game 1 (after extra time, villain scored the winner around 110th min and then played keep ball in the corner...):

It's so frustrating because I'm dominating games, I'm making the chances, I'm keeping the ball largely in villains half, defending well against the counter but the only chances they get they score, whereas I have literally a hat-full and they're saved every single time. Genuinely don't know what to do to change it.

In Career Mode (Man United) I had a League Cup quarterfinal against Chelsea. Had 17 shots, 14 on target, they had 2 shots, 1 on target, a 112th minute penalty that I used the left stick instead of the right stick to dive for, going the right way but not actually diving, and I lost 1-0.

On a happier note, I sold Griezmann for 113m after asking for 40m more than the bid as a joke.

Pogba is 93 rated, bought Kasper Dolberg for 7m and now he's 19 or 20, 80 rated, 90 long shots, 84 volleys, and 96 shot power. I've also got a 6'6" 15 year old 63 rated CB, and a 75 rated 18 year old with 91 dribbling.

Managed to sneak it into gold 3 after that horrendous start. Changed over to 433-2 and got 7 wins in my last 10 (2 of those losses were due to bullshit penalties too)

Seeing as we're forced to use a full prem team next WL (no point in hybriding in two players) I'll be using these

Keeping track of my last 9 games. Need 3 wins for Gold.

Game 1: Stupidly on tilt. Game starts. He pauses. Three times. Watches every replay, for corners, everything. Literally. Aguero hits the post and misses an open goal rebound. He shoots from 30 yards with Chadli that beats Donnarumma, one of his two shots on target. Lose 1-0. Wicked.

Game 2: Mr Payphone Griezmann himself puts me 1-0 up after 8 in game minutes. Instant rage quit. Guess I'm not the only one on tilt this morning...

2 wins for Gold. 7 games to go.

Game 3: Outshoot him 11-2. Guess what? Griezmann's goal bound shot is blocked on the line. By Suker. My centre forward. Who is offside. Also had a through ball to play Lacazette in, plays it outwide. Fucking bullshit. Oh, his goal? Shearer facing the wrong way double marked. Cool. 1-0 loss.

Game 4: Finally a comfortable 4-0 win (De Bruyne, De Bruyne, Firmino, Lacazette), rage quit on 61 minutes with villain not getting a shot on goal.

1 win, 5 games left.

Game 5: Hit Gold 3. Won 2-0, Ben Yedder and Lacazette on 90mins as villain committed forward. Didn't deserve to win that at all, he was much the better player. Oh well.

Game 6: 0-0 at half time. 0 shots for, 0 shots against. Early in the second half Aguero's shot across Butland is saved but Hagi nets the rebound. Mid second half cross from wide is headed in by Cuadrado. 1-1. They were the only attacks worth mentioning of the second half... Extra time comes to life, Sandro gives away a penalty (I wasn't pressing any buttons...) he shoots down the middle, Donnarumma saves. Then I get a penalty, it was never a penalty, Hagi hits the post. Hagi then hits the post in 119th min. Penalty kicks. I have the arrow, he doesn't, felt sorry for him 4-1 penalty win, he scored his only one on target.

Game 7: 0-0 again. His defence was Bellerin - Bailly - Smalling - Shaw and his midfield was Toure - Sanches - Gattuso, he played park the bus all game, couldn't break it down and his midfield didn't allow me long shots. Had 68% possession, that tells you all you need to know. After 90 mins he brought on Robben, Van Basten and Sanchez... I nicked a goal through Nainggolan, 1-0. He had 1 shot btw which came in extra time.

Game 8: 4-0 win. By far the best attacker I've played today, only one to really cause me problems. He'd be really good if he could defend. Slid around way too much, used that to my advantage and won a penalty that Hagi converted. Further goals from Aguero, De Bruyne and Aguero followed. Aguero also hit the post twice. Decided to give MOTM Son one last shot before I sold him and he got two assists...

Gold 2. After Game 1 today I thought I'd be lucky to get Gold 3, but there we go. Can't grumble I guess. Well, I can, because of my awful form yesterday which was a combination of tilt and not taking my chances. Blioejhgoijhg

Game 9: As I had nothing to play for gave my Prem team a go for next week and well:

3-0 up and absolutely cruising he quits. Brace from Suker and a goal from Son, better yet Pedro and Milner got assists from full backs. Having midfielders/wingers is defence is underrated.

22 wins, Gold 2 final result.

Only conceded 3 goals as well today which isn't bad. Only documented these games to vent my frustration at how I was losing such winnable games. Guess it worked ^^

Oh, and tip. When villain takes kick off set a manual offside trap, stops the kick off bullshit.

Team for next week. Only rolling with the one squad because I am now down to 64 coins and I don't want to sell anyone from my main teams... I'll win D1 at some point this week and use that to buy 20 team fitness cards. The Gold 2 coins will get part pay for James Rodriguez and Benzema so I have a squad for the week after... Anything leftover will be invested in a thousand Renato Sanches for the inevitable price rise the week after.

Didn't plan on a full bench but I figure Pedro is probably a little defensively liable so Clyne is there for holding on in a tight game. Smalling offers a 3/5 atb option, Kante/ Schweiny for fitness as my DMs always drain stam. Coutinho for the CAM, Son for the wide CAM subs (well, Firmino, as if I'm ever subbing Hagi) and Aguero is Aguero.

So after some well needed solitude away from the [at times, controller smashing tv shattering nuclear bomb the whole frigging world level of . . .] frustrations of FIFA, I decided to return to find my record and division standings at rock bottom levels. All those [booze fuelled] nights of trying to 'casually' play it (and-then-going-on-a-self-destructive-on-pitch-war-path) truly ruined me.

But I'm back. Missed a few weekly packs cos of the BS nature of those EA ponces.

As I have nothing better to do at this current moment, I will do a complete debrief of the (re)building of my squad and share some of the thought behind it.

I've accepted that for me to dominate with my tippy-tappy-ultra-attack approach, I'll need players that I simply am not bothered to a) purchase b) do all the side shizzle (ala trading, SB's etc) for - so have decided to change my style entirely.

The idea is to have a quick pacey forward figure-heading the attack by staying central and making runs in behind, supplemented with a second striker/false 9 just behind/beside him (depending on the makeup of the rest of the squad + players available).

I'll then have two players who will compliment the two attackers via high energy pressing (interceptions set at aggressive) + a little creative passing ability.

Behind the two pressure outlets, a DM that sits and a creative forward thinking player that can make play from [range] deep (through incisive passing) + make late runs into the final third.

Fullbacks set to stay back while attacking.

I like at at the moment. It feels versatile, does attacking-possession/high pressure and defensive-counter attack well. The transition between them pretty much seamless.

People think buying the best players will always improve them. Personally I prefer the cheaper teams with the odd higher rating in there. When I've used the Ronaldo and Messi's in draft I just try skills and stupid shots thinking they'll pull it off all the time.

Also seen on rumours on Twitter that along with the classic winter upgrades, we'll also have downgrades.

Opponent rage quit at 3-0, but all he did was literally park the bus. His pressure/aggression CT must have been around 10, seriously. When he had possession he played a through ball to IF Gray, who would run half the pitch and fuck up the pass giving it back to me.

A similar shape maybe, but completely different system though i'll concede I gave the shape a go upon seeing you use it =p

Haven't messed with custom tactics thus far, my player instructions are very specific though. I also like how the natural starting positions of the players in this shape are closer to typical passing lanes.

Pretty much content as is with my teams at the moment. Could upgrade on certain players but I'm doing well and don't really wanna mess with my system while it's working

For under 11K with a maestro chem style SIF Bentaleb is a 91 rated CM with 97 and 95 for long shots and shot power. Gotta be worth a shot for next week being Bundesliga and La Liga only WL
