Or as the Ale and Vale said go 4-3-3 so you dont ask as much from Woz and Hussey?

Depends on Hall though as Martin and Smith in a 2 would be slow as!

The problem with a 4-3-3 is that means I'm assuming Wilson will be out wide and I don't think he's ever done particularly well when doing that. What it needs is at least one of the forwards to stop dropping deep all the time, one of them is fine but Proctor at least should be taking a gamble and getting into the box or being the focal point to allow the likes of Garrity to then run on beyond him. On subs I've also seen enough since January to tell me if bringing one of the loan lads on up front then it has to be Edmondson, at this point in his career he is simply a better all round player than Harratt.

You dont want to play high line against us, that's suicide. We love playing over the top into channels and with people like Caprice and Key on the wings we will get in behind you.
Press us in midfield and play it on the deck. We are pretty good in the air at the back but not the quickest, so you will probably beat us in a foot race.
Covolan allowed the high line because before your attackers get there he would be sweeper keepering! Like Manuel Neuer style… but with a hint of mental South American keeper thinking he is Higuita and rather than boot it clear would then try and dribble past your attacker and probably get tackled then sent off… or just karate kick your attacker straight out.

Blokes nuts. But is a great shithouse.

We won’t play a high line and will almost certainly stick to 3-5-2.

Wilson is a funny one. You want him drifting as he is technically way about this level but not physical, you want him finding pockets of space with his touch and ability on the ball; he is a bit of a Louis Dodds in that it’s hard to really place his best position, against Carlisle he was superb in behind the striker but as you say Procs seems to come out wide or deep to hold it up as well.

Every interview Brown does with Radio Cumbria makes you think the board are close to giving him the job. There'll be a few players trying to impress tomorrow I think. The fans in the Northampton camp are nervy as suggested by the recent posts on here. I'd be very surprised if Bristol Rovers weren't 1-0 up inside the first twenty minutes, meaning with each misplaced Northampton pass the sweating in the away section will start to cause the perspex in our away section to start steaming up. The Northampton players will see that and start to crumble against a Barrow side proving a point to a potential new manager. Whereas on the flip side, an Australian soccer coach trying to prove himself in the Englishman's game will freeze under pressure and won't have the knackers to rectify the situation.

Therefore I am revising my prediction.

Barrow 4-1 Northampton Town. Attendance 11,658.

Just popping in quickly cause you've obviously all missed me. You're a bunch of c***. Anyway, commiserations Vale on your defeat tomorrow 42 degrees out here so ill be baking in glory, literally. I do hope results go your way for what it's worth, and you make play offs. (But lose to Swindon) when Rovers secure third.

Peace out and fuck you all.

Surely it's not cost effective for your local Ladbrokes to have the heating on that high.

If we do finish in the playoffs (which according to the bookies we should) ha i’d much prefer northampton or port vale and save a trip to narnia or whatever counties swindon and bristol are in, but guess should just take what we’re given.

Have fun all, bring it on! some are going to be ecstatic, some meh, and some gutted.

oh ffs - he's the blind twat who didn't give us the blatant last minute penalty that could have seen us beat Barnsley 5-4 in the FA Cup earlier in the season.

Couldn't agree more. Nick a dramatic late win over Colchester and we could finish 14th.

looks like from afar you’ve done the right thing in binning off your manager before the summer.

Cheers for coming back from 2-0 down and drawing with us when you didn’t need and then losing to everyone else around us btw

I think on balance it's extremely unlikely we will be resurrecting our early season form. It is possible now the pressure is off, but we've no one to score the goals anyway, so it's pretty much a free pass for Mansfield today. I had expected a trip up in there a few weeks back, and a visit to the The Railway for a few before the game as I've done perviously. Alas no, so last week was my last game in this league for a season at-least, a tragic way to finish really, but the cider before the game listening to the band in the carpark was pretty cool at least. (Oasis, Blur, Stone Roses covers).

I think as a supporter of a club that has done time with ex league clubs in the league below always endears me towards them somewhat.

We'll taker our chances next season, but it will take a minor miracle to get the recruitment right, and that's just one aspect of it. None the less it will be an experience not to be missed, well to start with lol.

We had him in our last match v Rochdale and he was the one that sent Coutts off (we appealed, even the Rochdale player issued his own report to say he instigated it but that failed)
He hates the gas too...

Whatever happens today, this has been a season to be proud of as a Sutton fan. A lot of sensible people had predicted us to be struggling at the wrong end of the table (to be fair that’s what people have been predicting for us since 2016), and we did have one of the lowest budgets in the league.

To have had the season we’ve had so far has been amazing, and whilst I may be a little gutted if we just miss out on the playoffs I’m still immensely proud of all of those who’ve played for Sutton United this season. And again, wherever we end up come 5pm hopefully it’ll be part of an upward journey rather than the end of one.

As for the game, our historic record at Harrogate (no wins in 2 visits) doesn’t inspire that much confidence. Factor in the massive disappointment that was our performance against Bradford City last week and Harrogate’s mini-run. However, over the last couple of seasons when we’ve needed to get something from a game, we’ve more often than not gotten it.

Over the last couple of days Bristol Rovers Fans (Not convinced they're Scunny) have been all over our Groups and Forum looking for tickets. Having sold out one away end (Harrogate) and taking decent crowds to others, it doesn't wash.

Hope the Young lads put in another decent performance.

Taking in saddlers v Swindon today as league 1 has already finished, thank fuck.
Looking forward to this. Will be in the lower tier behind the goal, so if Walsall score a last minute goal I will do what they do most weeks at the bescot and invade the pitch. Should be a good atmosphere today - weather is good, large away following and a team with good home form.
Can see there been plenty of goals in this one.

I might bring a book with us, or just watch FlashScores roll through.
I haven't been to the last 2 home games, but am going today.
It'll be interesting to see if the players get their finger out & try to win.

Hoping for an open entertaining game today. Despite being a dead rubber it’s a fantastic effort from both sets of fans who’ve both endured garbage for seasons now, we deserve at least some entertainment to finish the season off with. Not arsed about the score or result, but I suppose ending on 3 wins and a manager already in place would stand us in far better stead than last year of no manager until start of June and 6 defeats and a draw in our last 7.

Little bit gutted we finished a week early and with a whimper to be honest, final day of the season tends to be a good one.

Enjoy yourselves everyone, even those who hate their teams. You'll miss them over the summer.

Hoping for a front three of Molyneux/Bogle/Grey, need to show some attacking zip that we've missed for months now.

Good luck to the Trannies at our place today. Always had a lot of time for your club & fans. Not expecting us to make it easy for you but if you’re right at it like Northampton were you’ll probably win.

Very little for us to play for but a win could see us avoid the minor embarrassment of finishing in the bottom half with a +17 goal difference. Unexpected treat to have Tom James back for the first time since December. Our cup final is going to be this summer’s transfer market and the importance of getting James & Sotiriou signed up again.

Can’t be too careful. German police had to arrest hundreds of West Ham fans with flares this week.

They were still wearing them from the last time they won a trophy.
