I don’t mind it to be honest. Preferably I would like the front three to have Wilson In a withdrawn role and then Edmondson and Proctor playing as a two. Similar to what we tried at Carlisle. Obviously this time we are not playing the worst team in the history of football but it seemed to work ok then.

I suspected Northampton were going to do it comfortably and nothing it respect to them when it mattered most they’ve done the job.

We’ve had to dig in but a nice goal by Willo has us up at the break. Just waiting for us to Vale things up now…

So far so good. We’ve defended solidly and with Gibbo back look far less vulnerable. Dug in and took the chance well. Giving James Wilson space like that is only going to end one way. Great party atmosphere in the away end. Big second half needed now.

Started the game well, but looked poor for the final 15-20 mins. Vale scored with their only real chance but it was a lovely finish.

Still think we’ll get at least a point but we need to pull our fingers out.

So as things stand it’s Vale v Mansfield in the clash of the chokers and then Rovers v Swindon in the other playoff game. Swindon pretty much set in the playoffs now so really it’s us, Sutton or as a very outside shot Tranmere.
