There's no point looking at employed managers Dmac has said a few times before he will not pay compensation.

Evans will unfortunately be the favourite.

I said when Fergie was still here we should go for Edinburgh, but we left that too late and that's not an option now I guess!

Not Fergie and not Evans. That's my only thoughts right now.

Hands off justin Edinburgh :told::told:

That was last time. I believe this time he knows he'll have to.

Is McDermott still out of work? Wouldn't mind interviewing him,

He lives near here, is a self proclaimed fan of the club, good friends with Fry and MacAnthony and said himself as recently as May how he'd love to manage us one day.

Urgh.

He is a horrible fat scotch c***, but at the same time would probably get you challenging.

I mean, Fergie jr was hardly a saint, either...

Darren Ferguson to drag you out of a relegation battle.. That's normally the posh way.

Robertson gone? Terrible shame that, he was doing an excellent job!

Have to say, I can't recall regularly hearing a manager sound so out of his depth as he did.

Egomaniac McAnthony probably got pissed off that Robertson was invited onto the FLS last night instead of him.

Evans has jumped ship before when the chance of an easy ride came along, I reckon he'll fancy his chances at P'boro with your squad and resources.

Noooooooooooooo! :eyes:

I've never minded Peterboro'.
One of those clubs similar to us. And one of my first away-days back in the 70's.
And I don't want to despise your club which will probably happen if that ***** turns up there
Happened with Rovrum. Decent club. "Northern Gills" we all thought. Not now...

Having said that, go for him instead of JE...

Nigel Clough is good at keeping people out of relegation issues and you may even have a good cup run

Please can you make a charitable gesture to the Oldham Athletic fanbase and take Darren Kelly & Dean Holden off our hands?

Rumour on our board that Keith Curle is linked with the Peterborough job. Surely not, though?

Graham Westley is favourite now.

Shoot me.

His time at Preston was easily my worst as a football fan, he made Ferguson look like Ancelotti and I fucking hated Ferguson.

It just shows the expectations of Sheffield United compared to Coventry City fans. Clough managed 5th last year and that's awful for Sheffield United - that would be our highest finishing position for 45 years and our second top 10 finish in 27 years.

Sheffield United top 10 finishes since 2000: 11
Coventry City top 10 finishes since 2000: 1

We are truly a dismal club.

Some of the names linked are awful. Westley, Curle, Clough, Megson. Urgh.

Awful given the amount of money he spent and his style of football didn't help either. With what was invested (he signed 20odd players) we expected more than just playing for a draw and hoping to nick a win against teams that were non-league until recently.

But I think your general point is fair, we do expect a lot, especially in league one which I dont think is unreasonable.

Graham Westley? McAnthony is a businessman isn't he? How on earth is Graham Westley going to help with his business? Clough would be the best of that lot I reckon

Lots of people going to the Walsall away game with 'Dickov out' tops.

Surely it can't be long now? We've never had a more hated manager. Shambles of a man.

Early front runners are Westley or Evans.

The most viable option from here if those two are the best we can attract is liquidation.

On the footballing side of things, Evans would be a very good appointment.

Dropping like files now with Dickov gone. Who next?

Will be interestnig to see who Donny & Posh appoint. Can't help but feel this is a stupid time to sack a mngrae, give somoene teh full TW and all pre-season then sack them after a few games. Similar to hwen ew ended up relegtaed thakns to sacikng Blackwell so early after givnig him het pre-season.

Hahaha, i normally go over and check my posts cos they all end up like that. Apparently I forgot on that one.

You should see my drunken messages. I think they're fine at the tome but the next morning they're genuinely incomprehensible, thankfully.
