Apparently we have asked for early games against teams who don't bring any fans and away games where we don't travel in large numbers either. So hopefully we will get Steveage, Crawley, Cheltenham and FGV out the way by October.

I'm not sure away fans will be allowed this season anyway so I wouldn't worry about that.

Imagine 24 clubs have asked the same thing!

There‘a a friendly between Swindon and Ashby (I think) in the next few days that is allowing supporters, so unless we get a big spike in cases it’s likely that *some* fans can attend games imminently.

I want away fans in the ground as it makes for a better atmosphere and can increase a clubs attendance aswell but I was under the impression it was going be home fans only at grounds.

I have a feeling it will be home fans only until the New Year at the very, very least.

With this in mind if away trips to Forest Green Rovers and Bolton for us could be scheduled for next year sometime, it would greatly please me - especially Bolton.

Southend away I would also like to get out of the way as early as possible, as watching both sets of supporters knuckle draggers is always hard work.

I think I worded it wrongly, we asked for thought to be given about fixtures that would generate income for clubs to be scheduled for later in the season, not just ourselves.

Assume that’s because Ashby are below National League level thus can have fans from Saturday I believe.

EFL will be October with away fans unlikely.

Some clubs have requested to the league that they shouldn’t have to allow away fans whilst the capacity is limited.

Away fans should really only be allowed if home attendance is under capacity and all season ticket holders have a seat.

I cant think of any clubs likely to bring large numbers to us this season so not a problem for us!

large amounts of fans travelling from one city/town to another whilst C19 is still around would be incredibly dumb - and any outbreak linked to it could cause all football to be cancelled again or having to play behind closed doors. Banning away fans at present is just common sense...*

* does anyone running football have any though

If you social distance it shouldn’t be a huge problem, rates of infection are that low. It’s not different or arguably less of an issue than thousands travelling to airports to fly out etc, although dare say it would be advised own transport only...

we can’t carry on how we are... life must go on and this virus isn’t going away, even a vaccine will only be X or Y % accurate like the flu one.

Luckily deaths and admissions are continuing to drop so the best hope is it’s just becoming a less severe virus as it mutates and we can all move on.

If this carries on as it is there won’t be any economy to afford to go football anyway!

Looks like the government are going to set a maximum figure of 30% for modern grounds such as ours and Bradford......that will mean around 9000 at Bolton.....The fact we have large concourses helps.

Now teams such as Barrow and Tranmere with there antiquated victorian stadiums will proberbly be allowed 10% in
Thats about 450 in Barrow and about a thousand at Tranmere.....you had better watch your spending lads!

Yeah, 300 tickets only. Think we’ve bought a fair few of them!

whilst getting back in the EFL is great, i've seen us play nearly half the teams in League 2 in the National League...

Harrogate, Stevenage, Cheltenham, Salford, FGR, Grimsby, Orient, Crawley, Mansfield, Morecambe, Tranmere, Colchester United and probably Newport County and Cambridge United...
(we were in NLN when Carlisle were there).

The NL with;-
Aldershot, Halifax, Notts County, Wrexham, Chesterfield, Barnet*, Dagenham & Redbridge*, Stockport, Hartlepool, Torquay, Yeovil*, Macclesfield* is about as L2 as L2 is....

L2 is a good forum - probably the best out of the 4 main league ones. Lots of sensible posters - and you!

Well that's 0 points for us from September then.

Last year we had a good start and then fell away. The good news this year is we'll probably be bottom of the league by the start of October so can only go upwards.

Cheltenham away 31 October, so prob no away fans allowed. Which is a bit shit
