Funnily enough, I was just looking at Experimental361 fixture difficulty matrixCan anyone beat us for toughest opening 5 or so fixtures?
Walsall away
Salford home
Cheltenham away
Bradford home
Bolton away
Nobody plays more than 3 of the top 6 fancied clubs (by bookmakers) in the first 6 games, but FGR's September of Bolton, Salford and Bradford is clearly the toughest just going off odds, and likely will be the toughest in reality. Grimsby do play 3 of the top 6 and also Cheltenham who are just outside so that does sound tough.
Other than that, Chelteham's tough December (if all teams live up to their expectations) is the only other run of fixtures that really stands out. But anything past the first six games and our idea of what is a tough game could be totally different.
I think it looks like we go the furthest into the season before facing one of the top 6, although by that point the bookie's idea of who are the best six clubs might again be totally different.
