Can anyone beat us for toughest opening 5 or so fixtures?

Walsall away
Salford home
Cheltenham away
Bradford home
Bolton away
Funnily enough, I was just looking at Experimental361 fixture difficulty matrix

Nobody plays more than 3 of the top 6 fancied clubs (by bookmakers) in the first 6 games, but FGR's September of Bolton, Salford and Bradford is clearly the toughest just going off odds, and likely will be the toughest in reality. Grimsby do play 3 of the top 6 and also Cheltenham who are just outside so that does sound tough.

Other than that, Chelteham's tough December (if all teams live up to their expectations) is the only other run of fixtures that really stands out. But anything past the first six games and our idea of what is a tough game could be totally different.

I think it looks like we go the furthest into the season before facing one of the top 6, although by that point the bookie's idea of who are the best six clubs might again be totally different.

Yeah looks like Stevenage get a tough start too. We've got those three teams FGR play plus Cheltenham in back to back to back to back games. Ughhhhhh. We could quite conceivably be on 0, 1 or 2 points after 5 games.

Notice that Evatt has put the call in and managed to get Bolton a very easy start.

Yeah, I guess you can apply the logic that it could be better to play the favourites early doors. However, after Walsall away we're up against four of the six or seven favourites. Savage start if they all hit the ground running.

Thing is though we are 3rd favourites, which we have no right to be. We finished 21st last season and signed a lot of young players and (as of now) lost our main goal scorer.
