I haven't checked, but we seem to have the same thing with Morecambe. We always seem to play them within the first few weeks of the season - lo and behold we start at home to them this season.

You think that's bad, how about poor Wycombe. Get promoted into the second tier for the first time ever - start against a team they played last season!!

2011,2017 and 2020 first game v Crawley, had them third game 2018 off the top of head too.

Not a bad one though, ironically Crawley at home was the first game postponed for the pandemic so we were due to play them next league game anyway!

Ours are shite really, Carlisle away I was looking forward to, with Bolton and Bradford at home (most likely two of the biggest away followings) all falling in October. Morecambe on New Year's Day should he a decent day out though.

Pleased Barrow away is late in the season, as is Morecambe and Bolton. Should all be good we’ll out away days if away fans are allowed back by then.

Happy with ours, not missing too much pre-December with Exeter the only decent away trip before then, hopefully the second wave doesn't come and we can get away fans in by the time Bradford rolls around just before Christmas, unlikely I suspect but fingers crossed.

Grimsby away is on a Saturday for the first time since 2003, after four successive Tuesday night trips. 2020 continues to surprise.

Bolton and Harrogate both tuesday nights, two places we would have travelled well too if away fans are even allowed in. At least the EFL have tried to give us the fixtures nobody cares about first.

Our first month of Newport (H), Crawley (A) and Carlisle (H) would have normally got about 200 away fans combined.

Port Vale away, Scunthorpe home, Oldam away in September.

Port Vale will always be in our history (not theirs though) but getting a couple of long away trips out the way when fans won't be allowed is a bit of a sweetener.

Bolton at home on the last day. Relegation six pointer maybe?

Considering there were 350 Carlisle fans at Scunthorpe last season, I don’t think that quite adds up.

Lge 2 Trophy presented before the game......your 74 fans stay behind and clap the champions as they do the last match lap of honour

There were also 218 Scunny fans at Crawley, it's almost as if I wasn't being serious.

Very good! Fingers crossed we’re allowed in.
Ours are shocking in terms of away games. Barrow and Harrogate both Tuesdays and Bolton and Salford both in October.

Add to that both Bolton and Tranmere at home are Tuesdays too.

Shouldn`t make any difference as far as we are concerned. Last time we played at Coldham it was a tuesday night and we had more fans than they did.
Anyway my question is when is the vote by all the clubs who couldn`t play games last season without fans in their grounds not to start this season for the same reason? I make it there will only be us and Forest Gump (if you believe Swampy voted to play on that is which he probably did having first phoned around the rest of the division and then voted to play on knowing there was no chance they would and that he would come across as the good guy which of course we all know the devious little rat isn`t.) that will be willing to start the season behind closed doors judging be the way clubs voted last time.

Clubs had no income towards the end of last season.

Nearly all clubs have sold season tickets this summer which means they have an income to cover the first couple or so games for this season.

four home games and Colchester and Harrogate in our first six games.......The fixture list has been kind to us.
I'd prefer home games when they let the fans in, otherwise it's no advantage

We have two of our first 3 games away so hopefully only one fanless home game which is Cheltenham which is a pity as I was looking forward to us hopefully smashing them as they were one of the teams who voted to end the season due to being skint yet managed by some miracle to find the money to play in the Play Offs. First game we can actually go to against Scunny. As for away games I honestly can`t see that happening until New Year at the earliest which means us missing out on all but one of our local away games ( only Morecambe is scheduled for next year).

6 long distance away games at Grimsby, FGR, Tranmere, Exeter, Morecambe & Bradford on Tuesday nights and I likely won't be able to go to most of them. :(

Yeah - we were delighted to give up our chance of getting automatic promotion (a strong one at the time as well).

Bloody hell mate - move on, get over it. The World is still turning you know and tomorrow is definitely another day.

You made 22 redundant...then found by some miracle money to pay the best salaries in the league

that is still blooming poor.........what happened to our away support the last 5-6 years.

when I lived in Carlisle trips to Scunthorpe would be 500 plus usually we’dbe Trying to fill the away end.

you’d be disappointed with 300 at somewhere like Brighton!

is it costs or apathy

That was to protect the playing budget. How many people lost their jobs when you nearly went bust due to vast over spending AGAIN ??? And how exactly do you know we are paying the best salaries in the league. I bet they are nowhere near what Salford are paying or what you are for that matter. You just stick to living in your own little fantasty world and left the real one to those of us who support probably run football clubs and not basketcases like you lot.
