St Petersbog at home first game of the season again first game. Is this some sort of evil tradition being implemented by the FL???

An end of season jolly to Colchester isn't exactly wonderful, either.

The rest aren't too bad, to be fair.

Crewe away first game is an odd one. Maybe the fixture computer took a look on here and thought it would be a laugh.

Get the thread started now.

Soon be time to play port vale bingo, 5000 away fans, thousands in our end, need 3 stands, take over Crewe, then to get the full house all that needs to happen is none of the mentioned, as per....

Quite happy with the fixtures.

Would be great if we could relegate Blackpool on 23rd April.
A very happy St Georges day.

Its a strange one we never win 1st game but have got a good record vs Vale, got draw written all over it. This these 6 or 7 weeks or whatever it is are going to be hell though. No doubt Vale will have 2000 tickets in the home end by this time next week. Could be a record for banning orders on the 1st day of the season as well.

At least you are guaranteed your annual 3 points at the Ricoh early doors.
Will put you just off the playoffs that early in the season

Just realised we play 4 midweek away games Coventry, Burton, Southend and Colchester whilst we only have 2 two Tuesday night home games one in September vs Southend and one in April vs Colchester. 6 months without a home midweek game.

We've not lost an opening day fixture since 2004 so we are bound to cock this up!

In terms of our fans we will sell out before general sale I imagine the demand will be even higher than usual with it being the opening game. Surely the money from having the extra Vale fans would benefit Crewe and everyone is a winner if they do give us a block of the big stand? I can understand not wanting to give us three sides but a block of the big stand would accommodate everyone and Crewe would make a decent wedge. We would allow up to 4500 Crewe fans if they wanted the tickets.

First three away fixtures are looking rate dangerous for me, my bank balance and what's left of my ever-decreasing dignity.

Wouldn't be allowed due to segregation under the stand and facilities like toilets ect. The stand just isn't geared up to being segregated. No way will any team ever get more than 2300 or whatever the two stands hold. Will be a godf crowd anyway, I'd be disappointed with any less than 7500.

There's no way you'll get any more than the two stands and rightly so..

There would be a lot more trouble in the stands if you lot were segregated in the same stand with Crewe fans.

give it a rest, it's the same every year, you Fail lot are boring as fuck making out it would do us favours having a load of boslem knuckle draggers in our stand.

Hey buddy

Hate to break it to you but I don't think the day the match is played on makes a lot of difference.

All the best,

Exactly it would be carnage having an extra 1000 jug heads in the main stand. Not worth the trouble.

Happy with Swindon first game of the season as it get's one of the worst (if not the worst) away days in this league out of the way straight away.

Yeah because all Vale fans that go are trouble makers... Point is surely it's less trouble to accommodate than have some Vale fans in the home ends (despite Crewe fans claiming it doesn't happen I know for a fact it does). Plus you don't exactly get carnage at the majority of Crewe v Vale games either. You get a bit of gesturing by both sets of fans and the odd arrest like most local games but it's hardly bad.

Why don't you write a letter to the club about it pal?

Come on Vale lads, don't go down the route Wednesday/United fans do when they play at Oakwell. "Ooh can we av dat dere west stand as well, seeing as we've sold out your away end about twice in the last 10 attempts."

I never said all Vale fans are trouble makers, 50% of the trouble comes from our side nowerdays infact and there has never been more than a handful in the home end, the only time I've seen a significant amount of away fans in the home end was Man City.

I agree its pathetic some people just expect home teams to just keep giving them unlimited amounts of tickets. Even your fans will of done it at some point when you once sold out somewhere
