I've evolved from a 4-4-2 (first two seasons with Dundela) to a 4-4-1-1 (Glentoran and Dagenham) to a 4-2-3-1 (Cork and Hannover), bringing back the 4-4-1-1 for away games (Hannover) or all European games with Cork. 4-2-3-1 is short passing from the back and ball retention, 4-4-1-1 is balanced between short passing and twatting it up there with more of a counter focus than possession domination.
No idea why, but this tickled me.

So, I think I'm going to sack my Lincoln save off now. It's alright, and although the game is better than FM16, I'm not sure we're quite back at the FM15 level.

Anyway, I'm going to embark on my normal career save. I'd usually start at a half decent Club in L2 - one that isn't totally cash-strapped, has ok facilities - stay there for 3 years or so and letting the game settle down so there are some basket case Clubs to choose from. Then I'll do my turnaround bit with them and move on again.

I've done what everyone does in this situation, 'Googled', and I've come across Hungerford Town (Daily Mail Link). Now, I'm not saying I'll choose these but I hadn't really considered starting that far down before. Does seem a tad hard!

Another one is Salford, who've probably got a decent budget for that level but not one of the highest. There's an opportunity there to build a Club up.

Any other suggestions? Preferably National League Prem, North or South. Never interested me managing abroad.

And yet Hungerdorf are doing quite well IRL, sat in 8th in the NLS.

Yeah, I had a look when I saw their name mentioned.

Only slight reservation is that it's difficult to get any decent players even if you're doing well or a relatively big Club. Might try it just for a laugh, though.

FC United seems to be a popular choice this year. Looks a good save and gives you the target of toppling Man Yoo/City and becoming Manchester's dominant club.

Forest Green are a good bet for a quick promotion to the football league. Got promoted with relative ease on my save and survived a season in L2 before being relegated. Their kit is great an' all.

Or how about going all out and having a go at this...

I've started with FC Halifax. Only up to around October though.

14,000 capacity stadium and a good budget to start off with for Vanarama North level.

Is that your player? Did you have him tutored by someone with lower determination? If so, that will happen!

Forgot about FC United. Will have a look at their set-up tonight, along with Salford and Hungerford.

Yeah he's mine, I avoided tutoring him because of his 20 determination. Dunno what the hell happened but I didn't see anything come up in my news feed to explain it. He hasn't improved too much for a young player with 20 determination so may look to sell him on, though he's one of a few home grown players in my squad and is only worth £1.6mil which is a bit of a bastard tbh.

Small update on my Heed save... I managed to luckily stay up in 16th place with 36 points in my first PL season. I had 2 wins to my name at the halfway point  Raided the relegated teams for players that summer and after a long and surprising battle for top 4/5, I ended up 7th in my second PL season, qualifying for the Europa League, winning manager of the year, and being offered, and accepting, the England job, turning down Spain and Italy in the process. Unfortunately England are shite and either have 30+ year olds or inexperienced youngsters to choose from. Will see how the first year goes and maybe just resign after that, though there's a World Cup in 2 years so I'm tempted to have a run at that if we're not awful. RBL unsettled my only world class player, a 22 year old Chilean International CB with a buyout clause of £36mil to CL clubs in his contract, so I lost him and brought in Dayot Upamecano on a free from Liverpool as his replacement.

Also, moved in to my new stadium this summer, and a day later the board suggested expanding it. Surprise, surprise. Will be up to 14.xk capacity next summer with the potential to expand to 25k so it should last a few years at least.

Well, we're back to ground sharing for next season after selling out every home game. This time with 'Boro, which isn't as far away as Burnley which is nice I suppose. New capacity will be 18.75k which is still too small. Finished 5th last season, 7 points behind 4th place and won manager of the year again. Highlight of the summer has to be Liverpool bidding £25mil for Upamecano after I picked him up on a free from them the previous summer. If I can hang on to my star striker I reckon we can break top 4 next season.

England job is going ok. Managed to smash Germany 4-1 on our way to the International League final where we lost to France in a game where we probably should have won. Not sure why the final takes place during pre-season but whatever.

World Cup this coming summer, then I'll leave.

I hope that add needed attributes to Data Analysts and Sport Science.

I mean, common sense tells you you'll probably need Fitness for the latter and Tactical Knowledge/Judging Players Ability for the former, but they don't have any impact as it stands.

Just started up with Chesterfield. Sitting 5th in League One in Feb. Ched Evans scoring the bulk on my goals + Jon Nolan and Paul McGinn being other stand outs. Bought in Choudray from Leicester, Templeton on a Free and Liam Grimshaw on loan from Preston.

Got a lot of high earners I need to cull if I don't go up as I'm borderline on the Financial Fair Play

Into 3rd season having been promoted to Champ in 2nd by finishing 2nd. Finding it tough though, squad just concedes too many goals and my defenders just aren't Champ quality. Any gems about 3rd season that will come on loan or available fairly cheap?
