Yo.. Its been a while since i posted. Been a rough year for us all.

Just wanted to give an update about our journey back.. For whoever cares!

Macc FC are in the NWCFL premier division, started with 2 wins and a draw. Also a win in the FA Cup extra prelim round.

Things looking good and attendances have been high, sold 1100 season tickets and league games averaging over 2000 currently, with 1800 tickets sold already for tonight's game at home to Prestwich Heys.

The ground looks alot smarter these days, chairman has spent around 3.5m on the startup costs to build a sustainable club, all working well so far. Academy set up, 4g pitch, brand new gym and cracking sports bar. Seats finally taken out of the star lane end, which im sure youd agree looked crap with the seats at the bottom.

Squad needs tinkering with, as its brand new and we arent going crazy with the budget, but naturally having such larger attendances than the rest our budget is higher.

Anyway, all the best to all for the season. Hopefully we'll see you again in 6 years or so!

Best of luck to Macc. Was shameful what that previous owner did you but good to see the club getting back on its feet. Seen some of the improvements to your stadium and it’s all looking rather more promising now.

Its fantastic mate.. The old place has really been given some love.

Looking forward to the journey, theres no devine right to sail througj the leagues.

Aftrt what happens to us we dont care if we play Burscough or Bolton. Which is reflected in the support we are getting, which is more than in the EFL!

I would put a happy smiley face thingy up, but don't know how too!

Good luck on your journey.
Click on the 3 dots at the top of message bar and it brings up a face on the left then click on it to bring all the different faces up.

Best of luck to you, during much of our worst years I felt it'd be better to press the reset button and fly up the regional leagues with big crowds & a sense of positivity and community about the place. Maybe by the time you're back in contention the Football League will have put something in place to stop charlatans like Alkadhi, I doubt it though

I would put a happy smiley face thingy up, but don't know how too!

Good luck on your journey.
Easy, you just do this :bdick:

Well done Macc Lads,
Quick update on BuryAFC Fan base still split with a lot of bullshite (from both sides)
However, season going well with 4 wins and a draw where we hat the bloody woodwork 6 soding times!!
Home crowds of 1200 plus and 1300 plus with 500 to 600 making the away trips. Not to shabby with a split fanbase.
Bloody loving non league way more than I thought I would and off for a trip to the lakes on Saturday to watch the boys at Cleator Moor and getting excited. Thats not good at 61!!!!!!

Is Whittaker still playing? Bloke is 57 and is probably still the best player in Non-League let alone that level.

Yeah very hands on. Some like it some don't but his enthusiasm is fantastic and it clearly means a lot to him to be involved. Our assistant mgr is isolating at the moment so he was on the sidelines last night, behaving exactly as you would expect him to!

2,121 in attendance last night for the visit of the mighty Prestwich Heys.

Robbie owns a percentage of the club I believe.
His media influence is great though, even got us featured on bt sport centre last week.. Never heard of for a nwcfl game.

Saw the support you got last night. Just to put that in perspective there are multiple clubs in L2 who haven't managed that and that is being propped up on away followings so it's fantastic what is happening with Macc right now. I think a fair few Vale fans have earmarked your game with Congleton at the end of the month to go and watch as they have Pope so that should be a good earner too.

Am pleased to see JA back in the game at Macc also. Had reached the end of the road with us but he still has a lot to offer and will be extremely useful to Whitaker with his experience.

The attendances have been unreal. Just shows the feeling in the town, and how many boycotted before! Its very enjoyable watching Macc at the moment, beers in the stand and a Guinness trailer helps!

Great to have JA back, we know hes just helping out because he's bored, but hes macc through and through and has known Whits since he was in the youth team.

Another bit of perspective alongside the league two clubs, is that most nwcfl clubs barely get 100 fans to their games. We have also been getting the highest attendances below the NL Premier (apart from Saturday where Hereford beat us by about 30).

The Congleton game should be fun, any vale fans wanting to go, buy tickets beforehand. Our tickets are as exclusive as man utd these days

2,920 tickets sold for the Congleton game now!

Due to some of the ground improvements and changes (some turnstiles removed) this is actually a sell out as we wait for the council to sign off on higher capacity on the safety certificate.

Is The Rock still a Macc fan?
Of course he is. He's just waiting for the dust to settle at Wrexham before he becomes a joint owner of the Silkmen. He's already planning on throwing a 3 year £15k a week deal at this years league 2 top scorer.

This is brilliant, it does surprise me though where we’re all these fans a few years back when most needed. Hope they all stay with it like the hardcore will.

Who are the other club and how are they doing? What sort of gates do they get? Any chance of uniting the fans behind one club? Scarborough fell into the 2 competing phoenix clubs trap and neither has reached the National League regional divisions, 14 years later..........

I've met Savage on 4 or 5 occassions and I've always found him a good bloke. I think he'll be a good asset to Macc. He's good mates with our owner as well so we could throw a few loans your way as you come up the pyramid.

Yeah he gets a bit of a bad rap, probably because he was very abrasive on the pitch. People in football almost always seem to speak highly of him.

BID IN FOR ORIGINAL CLUB AND GROUND
A group called EST1885 in conjunction with Forever Bury have today announced that a bid for the ground and club has been made and they are confident that they will be back next season. They optimistically thank NLN is where the FA will put them.

Yeah it's been a real revelation getting 2000+ home fans even in midweek! For casual fans the better facilities & cheaper tickets will be a big pull. For us hardcore lot, the change of ownership means we can go to games with a clear conscience that our money isn't fuelling a dodgy businessman anymore.

Sure there's a few teething problems (case in point being this capacity limit which is in place at the one time in the club's history where we have literally thousands wanting to attend!!!), but everything looks very positive for the future.

Delusional isn't the word. Anyone who thinks Bury FC will be accepted into the NL North is categorically insane.

I'm amazed by the number of Bury fans falling for this grift. Just get behind the new club.

As Blue Lion says, so many fans made a stand not to put money in Alkahdi's pocket anymore (me being one) when it became completely obvious it was being used to prop him up elsewhere. He should have been criminally investigated in the end, that's the only missing piece to us starting over again.
