I haven't seen the highlights yet and can only comment on seeing it live, virtually level on the pitch from where I sit in the stand, at the time I thought it was a horrific challenge and don't remember Wishart being bent over to try and head the ball...which the offending player might have used in his mitigation, clearly I may be wrong about this. I don't believe many players in the modern game would do anything so stupid or dangerous to an opponent, Wishart may consider himself lucky that the studs connected with his skull and not an eye, otherwise the consequences for his career might have been vastly different.

Do behave..

Up to you if you disagree but I do think there was no need for it and again it paints your club in a bad light. You don't celebrate a goal that you didn't properly earn. Goalkeepers don't celebrate when they score from a GK do they? It's the same situation.

But I know you and 99% of the other Luton fans on here are too bias/pig-headed to attempt to understand any other opinion that differs from their own one.

Am now convinced this has to be some sort of routine...

Are you sure about that? Our keeper had one kicked off the line at Stevenage last week and he said " I was just about to celebrate by running round the pitch but the linesman said it hadn't crossed the line"

I'll take that as you being unable to make a valid point against me so you resort to insults. Good to know that deep down you've finally agreed I'm right.

Enjoy your promotion, I'm sure you'll come crashing back down to Earth soon.

Let’s put aside your issues with Luton and Hylton for one minute. They’re clearly your problem.

You claimed the goal wasn’t earned?? If Hylton doesn’t chase it down, the keeper doesn’t make the mistake, so he has directly impacted on what has happened. And even if he does make the mistake anyway, if Hylton doesn’t chase it down there is no one to put it in. So either way he has affected what happened.

And to say you shouldn’t celebrate a goal you haven’t earned is nonsense anyway. What parameters are there to gauge whether a goal has been earned? Ref gives a dodgy pen, can you celebrate? Stech came flying out and missed a punch for Notts equaliser, is Ameobi allowed to celebrate? Hyltons celebration wasn’t even that exuberant.

I realise you have a chip on your shoulder when it comes to Luton, again that’s your problem, but at least try to present a reasoned argument.

And if we are talking about showing a club in a bad light, let’s not forget Barnet employed Martin Allen 3 (4?) times.

I get that if a keeper fucks up like that then it shouldn't be celebrated by laughing in his face or anything like that, but I don't agree that Luton shouldn't celebrate scoring a goal because of it.
I'm sure all the penalties Barnet have won and scored by Akinde going down like a sack of shit were celebrated by their players and fans weren't they?

:pond: Bit if a dick, loves to get under people's skin, continually oversteps the mark because there is no line in his mind, doesn't know when to stop and has pathological feeling for Luton Town. Tries to throw us off pretending he hates Danny Hylton.......Urban is Danny Hylton

What a ridiculous post by Urban. We are 1-0 up, down to 10 men and we score a goal which virtually wins us the game to keep us top, and the players are expected not to celebrate. What does he think we should have a one minutes silence followed by a round of applause from the away fans. I sincerely hope Urban is on a wind up. Take the passion out of football and what do you have left. Barnet perhaps! :dk:

So of course when someone else thinks something different the Luton posse come out and start with the insults and piss taking. I've never once said people aren't allowed to disagree with me.

But you don't see teams celebrate *as much as Luton did* when a GK fluffs a clearance, or fumbles a catch etc. That's all my point is. No need for everyone to jump on me just like you all normally do because I hold a different opinion against your cherished Luton.

You don't give anyone else as much shit on her as you do to me. Give it up and try some actual debate for a change instead of just attacking the poster.

No, your point is you dislike Luton and Danny Hylton and take any opportunity to criticise them, even when there are no valid grounds to do so. And then people pull you up on it you have a shit fit.

1. It being a valid point is a matter of opinion. One which I'm fully allowed to make.

2. I've not had a 'shit fit', merely pointing out some hypocrisy.

3. All of your fellow Luton fans (you included) do exactly the same thing you're accusing me of here. Don't talk rubbish.

4. It's perfectly fair to dislike Hylton! Luton fans are literally the only people that don't.

1. A few posts up I challenged your 'valid points' which you haven't addressed. When you revert to the 'it's just my opinion' line, it generally means you havent got a valid response.

2. Please point me in the direction of the hypocrisy, I've got no idea what you mean.

3. What exactly do I do? I have no strong opinions on Barnet if that iis what you are referring to.

4. Again, if you dislike Hylton, that's your problem. If you want to criticise him, that's fine, but if you criticise anyone or anthing without a valid reason, someone will pull you up on it.

Getting beyond the outrage of Luton celebrating scoring a goal for a moment...

As great as Stacey has been this season I have to admit I'm pretty excited that Justin is finally going to get a run of games in the team. He is 'one of our own' after all and I'm more interested in seeing him develop than I am in seeing Stacey play.

Hilarious. Playing the victim card when you've gone into a thread about a Luton game and had a pop. Of course you are going to get stick from Luton fans when you make an anti-Luton post in a thread populated with Luton fans you goon. Although it should be noted that fans of numerous other clubs have suggested that your point is absurd. Which it completely is by the way, no amount of "poor me, the nasty Luton fans are bullying me" shite will cover that you picked a laughably dumb hill to take a stand on.

You don't give anyone else as much shit on her as you do to me. Give it up and try some actual debate for a change instead of just attacking the poster.

The level of hypocrisy here is unreal :bg: I really hope for your sake it's intentional but somehow I doubt you are that self-aware.

Oh come on people. We all know Urban hates Hylton and Luton (but then again who doesn't hate Hylton bar the fans of the club he's playing for at the time obvs*), but he's merely stating his opinion. I happen to disagree with him as I don't think Luton over celebrated the goal but he has every right to say it no? I always maintain that we should welcome people with different opinions to everybody else.

*I hate Hylton with a passion but I acknowledge his footballing ability. It's just that he's so easy to hate with his constant 'taking the piss' goal celebrations. Like when Olly scored a great goal and he felt the need to go celebrate in David Forde's face, while all his team mates were congratulating Olly Lee on his wonder strike.

He's not just "merely stating his opinion" though, despite his attempts to spin it that way. He stated his opinion whilst at the same time suggesting that it was "typical" of Luton (not just Hylton), and then kicked off at people who disagreed with him (don't his attempt to cry "ad hominem" fool you - he was the first person to start attacking the posters rather than their opinions).

Everyone has the right to an opinion, but if you wade into a thread full of one club's fans purely to have a pop at that club (using a foolish vehicle to do so no less) than you also have the right to expect a response.

This was my original post. I didn't say anything about any of you Luton posters until oakroader et al decided to start mocking me.

How are people arguing that that wasn't a red?! His foot is studs up at chest height!

Also typical of someone like Hylton and the rest of the team to celebrate after a goal like that. Well disrespectful.

Yeah I could have worded it better and said 'celebrate as much'. I wouldn't expect them to go off solemnly - and it should have been obvious that I wouldn't have been expecting them to either, that would have been a ridiculous thing to say. However I maintain that you really don't often see teams celebrate goals in those circumstances as much as Luton did - everyone has their own opinions and obviously none of your fans will ever see anything wrong with it, but it was a bit much. I maintain - you don't see much made of a direct GK goal, or when a goal is scored direct from a GK mistake (e.g. Paul Robinson). In my eyes it was disrespectful.

What isn't on though is how rude your being to someone with a different opinion to you all. Go and read through at all the responses I've gotten. Attack the post, not the poster.

He's a knob and that's all I've ever said about him. He does it on purpose and openly gloats about it on social media and interviews. Don't know why it's so hard for some to simply admit that. He's a great striker at this level, but he's also a real piece of work.
