A reliable source on here tells me the points are already sewn up so a great opportunity to improve our goal difference.

Barrow 4-0 Carlisle United

Could be a massacre at Boundary Park. We’re without any fit strikers (Hope is a winger playing up front) and no fit/available senior centre backs after Piergianni picked up his 10th booking.

Just when we needed a bit of luck in keeping everyone fit, our paper-thin squad has capitulated. Dylan Fage likely to start again as a result - that lad wouldn’t catch in most Sunday teams.

I can't see anything but a defeat if the last two performances are anything to go by.

Yeah, heard that one before!
Crawley were supposed to be without Nadesan last night, he should have scored two goals.
Looking forward to it. Big games for both sides, arguably bigger for you so I'm not confident it will be the same result as the home game. We are definitely without Nombe so it will be interesting to see starts up front.

it's time for Agent Zanzala to score against Oldham - he probably had his best performance for us when scoring at Boundry Park against them - and hopefully does it again Saturday.

Carlisle will walk away with three points, nothing is more certain. We'll probably dominate the match, miss a dozen chances and chuck it away at the death. Is there a way I can bet on that specific scenario?

Carlisle fans will love our away end, just a shame they won't be able to see their winner...

Is it still the case that you have less than 14 outfield players a game can be called off, or is that only related to Covid issues? Asking for a friend.

Orient Rochdale, we are 13/10 and they are 19/10? What madness is this? We've not won in 15 cnsecutive league games setting a new club record.

This is the most obvious draw I've ever seen.

If the game doesn't end as a draw I'll do something genuinely insane like parade around Leyton with my cock out, or concede that very occasionally DevonLad says something that isn't racist/homophobic/generally distasteful nonsense.

1 - 1, easy money that.

I’d field the U18s if I were you. May as well rest the remainder of your first team until you’ve got a fully fit squad.

Rovers recent good form has consisted of beating a handful of poor teams - much the same as our 5 wins out of 7. The 2 decent teams they’ve played - Newport and Exeter - they only managed one point.

make or break 3 games coming for us although in reality if we are to do anything then every game is going to feel like that. but if we win all 3 then autos are back on, don't win any and we're probably left behind in the playoff race.

3-5-2 same team as last night although I'd be starting benning for hussey who has looked out of sorts in the last two games especially

Tricky tie against Bradford, despite our relative success against these in recent games.

We look to be clicking back into the gear of the early season with the reverting to 3-5-2 and Wilson and Proctor now fully fit.

They've had a couple of good results so will have to as on it as last night to get anything and not see this as the easiest of this mini 4 game spell or we could come unstuck.

Think it will be a draw which depending on other results may not be too bad.

Centre backs - Piergianni suspended and McGahey injured (don’t know how long he’s out for but disappeared at half time v Swindon and didn’t play last night). Those are our only two senior centre backs.

Centre forward - Fondop out for the season. He is our only senior centre forward.

Thus reinforcing the shambolic recruitment that the owner’s brother has inflicted upon us - a very poor and remarkably unbalanced side

After consecutive away wins, the lads should be full of confidence.

We used to be Vale’s bogey side, but it’s more the other way round these days.

Same team as per last night - only change could see Walker coming in for Sutton. I just hope he doesn’t bring Gilliead back in straight away - regardless of what his contract might stipulate.

GK: Alex Bass

RB: Luke Hendrie
CB: Paudie O’Connor
CB: Yann Songo’o
LB: Matty Foulds

CM: Elliott Watt
CM: Gareth Evans

RW: Dion Pereira
CAM: Callum Cooke
LW: Jamie Walker

CF: Andy Cook

2-0 CITY - 16,500

Yep - our record against top teams this season is abysmal. Northampton are the only team we’ve beaten I think.

Thankfully we seem decent at beating anyone lower than 11th though

Our bubble well and truly burst last night. Thankfully results mostly went our way so the damage wasn’t too bad but we were well beaten. Barely laid a glove on a Newport team that didn’t really need to get out of first gear.

With that defeat, confidence likely will have taken a dent and that coupled with our staggering lack of quality, Saturday is going to be a hard task to get anything.

Barrow’s win last night has turned the tide and the bookies now have barrow as strong favourites and I have to agree with them on it. Sadly I can’t see anything other than a pretty easy Barrow win where they don’t really have to do much to get the points.

Barrow 1-0 Carlisle United

Alarm bells.

What do you mean about Gilliead's contract?

Perhaps an outlandish comment, but my theory is that Gilliead must have a clause within his contract that stipulates he must play if fit.

He’s a high earner with a greedy premier league agent, from his time at Newcastle. He’s into his third spell at the club. 98 app - 3 goals - 5 assists. Absolutely dogshite. Cannnot beat his man, cannot cross the ball and cannot shoot - and yet, whoever manages him (as there’s been a fair few), he’s always first name on the team sheet.

He was injured midweek, but Hughes suggested he’ll be fit for the weekend. If he comes straight into the team given our recent results, point proven.

Surely ours is going to end in another draw, both us and Orient have 16 draws each... ridiculous.

Doubt either of us will have a shot on target. But if one goal somehow goes in, it’ll end 3-3.

I'd be amazed/surprised if we won 3 in a row. Typically we play Bradford now and not 4 weeks ago. We seem to have gone back to basics and how we set up at the start of the season. A fit Proctor and Wilson are among the two best in this league on their day. It's unsurprising that our form dropped when they were injured.

A point would be great against a team that have nothing to play for, so will be pretty relaxed and aiming to impress the manager for a new contract.

Gilliead was dropped to the bench for a couple of games fairly recently.

Whilst not been Gilliead's biggest fan this season, I'm going to trust Hughes on whether he thinks he can get a better tune out of him than dismal Derek did, and warrant selection once he is fully fit again.

There is a player in there, I'm pretty sure of that

Only change I’d be making for this game will be starting Mal Benning in place of Chris Hussey. When he came on Tuesday that was a large reason the game ultimately swung in our favour. Other than that keep everything else the same.

Just go out there with the same mindset of trying to win than worrying too much about stopping the opposition and everything else can take care of itself from there.

Agree, keep doing as per the past two games, go to Bradford and attack to try and win the game, ultimately draws are holding us back so would rather try and have a real go at Bradford and if we lose we lose, if we win great, if we finish the season like that a Win and a Loss is better than 2 draws for instance from being cagey. We need wins rather than draws. That said a point wouldn't be bad IF we get a decent points haul from the two homes games next week.
