No i am a realist. Historically speaking Bolton have been in the top league for over 80 seasons they and Sunderland and Shef Wed will return to the Championship in the next two seasons. Then it is a lottery.
We have one of the brightest coaches in the game as do Plymouth so i see no reason why you cannot piggy back along.

Make your mind up. One post you are supremely confident that Bolton will ascend to the promised ground. And the next post you are saying it is a lottery to get out of the Championship.

FWIW I think your second opinion is correct. The first is giddy hyperbole, that we’re all guilty of occasionally.

Really sad what’s going on at Crewe at the minute for us Crewe fans. Team totally decimated. We’re all selling clubs but we’re just a predecessor to the championship for a pittance or nothing at this point. The players and management aren’t bad individually, but they’re shot of confidence and they don’t know what the game plan is.

We were a league 2 team last season… and mid table would be a good season as I’ve said many times… which is where we are. We’ve been on a poor run of form and a bit short of confidence but that was the easiest win we’ve had this season. We have played better than that this season and got nothing but when we played you last season in the cups you were so far ahead of us quality wise. But now by far the worst team we’ve played this season. Absolutely awful. No plan, no quality at all. All you did was try to kick lumps out of us because you couldn’t get the ball.

McFadzean and Gomes are 2 of the worst players I have ever had the displeasure of laying my eyes on.

Yes you really are shite, it just so happens that you are less shite than us but you’ve not got any excuses. Hardly peppered our goal and were all over our box were you? Bit embarrassing really considering how dreadful we are. We weren’t even in the same league as you last year and we still managed to score about 9 goals at the Reebok in cup games.

1st half was one of our better performances. That says it all.

Now granted, we've lost a lot of players. That's tough to take, and I was fully expecting a relegation battle. Tbh, I thought we would get relegated. But I was expecting a battle, not an abject surrender. This is just completely unacceptable.

And as for some of his signings. Woeful. McFadzean and Gomes would struggle to get into most League 2 teams, I suspect.

McFadz I agree, totally lacking in ability, terrible footballer, but I think he tries which is more than can be said for a good number. Gomez, harsh to judge, not seen a lot of him and it can’t be easy coming into this team and impressing, I see something in him.

We know we’re shite, but you were the least threatening team we’ve faced since we won our sole game. A penalty and a scrappy deflected cross into the box, other than our 90th minute header I can’t remember a shot on target. The mighty Bolton with their big stadium and less than average crowds are shit, that’s why you were 16th.

Genuinely consider Wigan a bigger club and they were a rugby town 20 years ago.

Wycombe have three players away for international duty and we have two. Our record against the better teams (Sunderland farce excepted) has been very poor this season, and I expect this one to go the same way. We're weak in central defence and that's the last thing you need against Wanderers. Could be a good one for them to go with Akinfenwa.
