Our pitch wasn't too bad yesterday, not that much football was played on it. Probably just as well the Grimsby game was called off, that would have screwed it until May

Crawleys pitch has taken a battering this season.

It is quite a high standard but it has two teams playing on it so it rarely gets a chance to recover but this season it seems particularly bad.

I'm not entirely sure the pitch is the reason why we have picked up injuries I would say its a combination of bad luck signing injury prone players and not having a reserve team which keeps your squad members fit instead of having to come into the side not match fit. Also playing Saturday Tuesday most weeks doesn't help either as you get less recovery time. Players like amoo montano oyeleke and Cullen have always picked up injuries so we can't moan about them getting injured. Players like pope worrall gibbons been fit most of there career so far are the ones where we have been unlucky with as they are our best players and we can't cope without them.

That has to be a retrospective ban surely. Lucky he didn’t do some serious harm to him there.

Yeah that’s a naughty one that. Could be a big ban if they take a dim view of it.

Nice knowing you all, but our time is done now. That Lenny crossbar miss along with the scandalous decisions vs FGR and Carlisle have sent us down. Well, those and months of absolute shite.

Mostly the absolute shite to be fair.

hope ya stay up!

Yeah, you can't discount the months of absolute shite and these isolated incidents of the last three games are indeed only a small part of the equation but it's massively frustrating to have more than competed in all three of those games and only come away with two points. Not getting any of the rubs of the green at the moment, which is a strong sign of a doomed side.

Our commentators were making the point over and over about Bradford being too big for this level.

What are the Bradford fans' thoughts about where you belong. Not down here I'm sure but James Phillips saw you as a premier league / championship promotion challenging team. I think you're a funny one, you have all the clothing of a team that should be in the top flight, Big city, big fanbase, big stadium etc, but only ever hint at growing into that clothing.
Not been on for a while so catching up, most City fans were flabbergasted by that comment tbh. As you say we wouldn’t classs our self as a regular league 2 club but PL is widely optimistic. The fact we are a big city with a big population is always a bit of a con to the outside world, as due to things like poverty and high levels of immigration there isn’t actually that much of an appetite for football among many locals. In fact most City fans probably live further away north of the city than local. Plus there are probably more pissing Leeds fans from Bradford than from Leeds a bit Man United esk. When they got promoted and went to Elland road the road from Bradford to Leeds was chocker. I’d say high end league 1 lower end championship would be a realistic aim for us long term.
