Home to Bolton. A win here would be brilliant and would provide us with some much needed momentum. Pick up where we left off against Forest Green and we’re in with a chance. Bolton will be equally up for it however and wouldn’t be surprised if it ended in a draw.

The Bolton forum match thread for this game makes entertaining reading. They really don’t like us!

Home to FGR, the 'greenest' team in football (which as far as I can tell means that they sweep the environmental costs of moving stadium every other year under the tattered carpet of selling meat-free burgers at their ground).

Played them twice already this season, all at Nailsworth (is that where is it?) with both teams nicking entertaining games 2 1.

We've won 3 on the spin, but lost 3 immediately before this little run which emphasises how hot and cold we are.
Looks like FGR have hit a rough patch of form and we're surprisingly good at home, mainly as the removal of Orient home fans has actually improved the atmosphere at Brisbane Road, so I think we could edge this by a goal, possibly 2 1 again.

Couple of new midfield signings to shake things up, Freeman on loan from Wycombe looks particularly exciting, with championship football played already this year, as well as a L1 promotion run out last season, could be instrumental if we are to make a cheeky, audacious mid-season run for 7th.

People will see top scorer Johnson out again, and whilst he's been prolific this season, I don't think it's the end of the world. I think I'm the only Os fan left who still rates Lee Angol upfront, and Wilkinson already has 7 so possibly not as big a blow as it looks.

Pumped for this one, you Os!

I actually don't mind Angol either, but he's only any good when up front, he's gash out wide.

He’s not a terrible player by any means - can see why he keeps getting League Two contracts - but there’s a reason he also keeps getting released. Two good feet and can finish, but his work rate is appalling and his attitude is as bad as anyone I’ve ever seen. Gives up when things don’t go his way, waves his arms about at teammates who hold on to the ball too long because he doesn’t make a run for them and a walking red card for violent conduct candidate. Would much rather have Wilkinson or Sotiriou through the middle with the other out wide.

Our manager has said our three fit strikers are all doubts for Saturday, this club just cannot catch a break at all. We already don't score never mind without a single striker.

If Grimsby don't win I would be so shocked

Amazing isn't it. Imagine what they would be like if they thought we were a rival.

The last (hopefully) matchday that we'll be sitting out.

Come our game at Newport on Tuesday, we'll have 4 games in hand on Cambridge, 2 games in hand on Newport, Cheltenham and Morecambe; 3 games in hand on FGR, Salford and Orient; a game in hand on Crawley and even a game in hand on Exeter.

Would rather have points on the board then games in hand tbh.

I’m hoping we keep getting our games on but then the whole country has the most almighty run of rain and snow through March and April so it fucks up everyone’s season who have games in hand on us. ;-)

From what I’ve seen of Notlob they are really decent going forwards, but their defence is amongst the worst in this league. Can see what Ian Evatt is trying to do with them but think he has been undermined spectacularly by those Tobias Phoenix signings.
It’s clear there is a significant proportion of Trotters who have a really unhealthy obsession with us. They should go and get themselves some girlfriends.
If we turn up tomorrow we will take something from the game. A draw wouldn’t be the end of the world.

Fair assessment up until a week or so again. We have completly changed shape and gone 4,3,3
We have brought in two left backs Declan John from Swansea who pulled his hamstring first training session and Parkinson a young kid who we have brought in on loan. We look way stronger with a 4
Centre midfield we have Kieran lee who is class and Lloyd isgrove is in a three now upfront
Not a problem with Tranmere......The Birk from Birkenhead is another matter

Fancy us getting something from this

Our new pitch should be holding off the rain fairly comfortably so expect the game to be on

2 interesting signings for Exeter and Salford today

The former have got Sam Stubbs from Fleetwood on a 2.5 yr deal, I liked the guy and thought he was one for the future. Certainly think he'll do well and maybe we'll see him next year, wish him all the best

Salford have got Paul Coutts on loan till season end, he is quality and probably one of the best mid fielders ever to wear a Fleetwood shirt, he was on good money so Salford will be forking out some dosh -but a clear intent they want promotion

Hi mucker, what’s your opinion on the guy we’ve signed on loan from you today?

My sauces tell me Matete is full of energy, will force mistakes out of the opposition and can play. Likes to get the ball, likes running with it and likes tackling.

You've got a good young player who is highly rated at Fleetwood. This move will give him more game time and I am sure hell' do a good job for you, certainly wish him all the best -a certain Mr Pond came back a much better player from you !!

Apparently a couple of our players one of whom is believed to be Alex Hurst have picked up injuries in training today. When I say training for reasons known only to the idiot who authorised it they were actually playing a full contact game of Rugby with each other and that's how it happened. Absolute geniuses.

Walsall should worry if we get any lineouts against them though seemingly.

I'd expect us to name the same side which beat Morecambe last week, 3 wins in a row and all have been at home and have been in different circumstances - last week we was a tad lucky to win the game despite dominating possession throughout the game, but we managed to find a way to win which is something last season we didn't have in our locker.

Already had two very close games with FGR this season and this one will likely be no different, I don't think we'll dominate the ball as much as we did last week.

If true then some serious questions need asking of those in charge!

What benefit is rugby? Team bonding? I mean tag rugby maybe isn’t bad if it lets the players get a change but to smash each other.

Looks like Visser and Hurst injured, luckily Visser is back up but christ what’s Big Frank Sinclair playing at?

Sounds like more than two injuries too. In response to the talk of the rugby an agent has replied to the tweet “absolutely fuming” who reps a load of our squad.

Heads need to roll.

Aye you just couldn't make it up. All I know is if this had happened while John Askey was still here there would have been uproar and if it was Sinclair who authorised it he needs to be held accountable. If Pugh knew and signed it off then as far as I'm concerned that should disqualify him from consideration for the job permanently.

From what I've read they've done it as there was heavy snow so couldn't do training as normal. If that is the case then get them indoors playing five-a-side or maybe looking at film of the opposition etc. Stuff that could actually improve our chances on Saturday unless we have spotted Walsall have a weakness in the ruck and maul.

The club has improved in many ways off the field but the actual football side of things we are still so amateurish.

i'm not sure how much of that you're actually allowed to do at present with the covid rules.... i know players have to turn up already in their training kit and are not allowed to use on site facilities like canteens - so meeting rooms etc might be out too.

Shoving your head up a teammates arse in a big huddle is probably more of a covid risk, especially considering we’ve already got our caretaker boss and winger isolating and a couple of staff.

It’s bonkers, especially with the injuries and the fact we’ve got a few possibly back from injury tomorrow.
