Just hope tomorrow the boys give it everything after what’s been a tragic week for the club, first the loss of Charlie Holland in his 50s, huge fan, did loads for the club volunteering etc, ran fun buses and charity work. Huge loss.

Then the following day to lose another part of the family in former winger Jinking John Jeffers in his 50s also. Exciting winger in the early 90s who began the great era of Vale wingers like Guppy, Ainsworth, McCarthy in the glory days.

Hopefully that and the total shit show throwing away what should of been a routine three points in the second half at their place will see us want to put some effort in and ease the pains of the three events.

Hopefully Wozza will be back, sounds like he should be in contention although maybe rest him for Scunthorpe if not 100%.

I remember John Jeffers causing teams no end of problems down the left flank like it was yesterday. A player Tranmere were briefly linked with before his move to Vale.

Doyle and Sarcevic will again be classed as 68k salaries. We have Politic to return who has been a big loss
who will be a under 21 player add thomason another stand out youngster. Kieran Lee signed up and we have the core of a decent team next season.....Evatt is now going down the route of assembling proven players and not chancers and dross that we have signed these last three seasons.

Not totally but near that point. Changed shape look very solid but we have had bad luck with injuries and to be quite honest some of our replacements are just not up to it.
Evatt has got 6/7 decent players to build next seasons team around but he puts pressure on himself with saying we are in for a player who will turn heads in this window.
No doubt since Phoenix departure our calibre of signings improved

What the hell I didn't expect that. I've seen some shocking performances this season but I think Grimsby's first half might be the worst I've seen so far. Should have been 3 if it wasn't for a good save. The Grimsby team really seem to be getting frustrated, the kick out at Beestin showed that.

I can't imagine they'll come out in the 2nd half like that though, we just need to keep playing like we are and hold on.
