I’ve never seen a team look so knackered after 30 minutes, get totally dominated for an hour and not concede.

Exeter are clearly a good side but my god they are wasteful. With the positions they got in they should be scoring 4 goals there. Ridiculous.

whew... I'm not going to wax lyrical about our performance, we were a bit lucky at times in our defensive third, spent a lot of the game chasing it and looked a bit rusty. Three points is all that matters though in the race for promotion and we weren't bad considering we hadn't played in almost a month. I'm sure we'll be better on Tuesday.

Footballing performance was one of our worst of the season. But for pure dogged effort, probably one of if not the best.

They probably don't have too much to worry about if Grimsby and Southend don't improve drastically... -25 and -24 GD when the third worst is -9, and played more games than anyone else down there... I don't think they're especially better though than the likes of Barrow, Stevenage and Bolton... all those teams have something about them.

Southend in particular, I think are done for. They had their big upturn in form but dropped away before managing to get off the bottom of the table, can't see them fighting their way into contention a second time.
