Same as the games against Mansfield last season. They dominate possession. We get the result, Clough blames the ref.

Ref was giving some bizarre fouls for fuck all but no fouls when people nearly have their tops off.
Did they deserve atleast a point? Yes but we should of killed the game. Palmer open goal. Mullin 1 on 1.

If i’m honest im a bit lost on him blaming the ref as i can’t really recall what happened for him to do so, it wasn’t a penalty for me and he seemed pretty fair all round, made a few odd decisions but they were by and large 50/50 and he didn’t favour any side.

Jekyll and Hyde FC, us. The good County have turned up today, barely put a foot wrong and put Bolton under plenty of pressure, probably edging it overall.

We really are a horrible football team to watch, we offer absolutely nothing. Another season of mid table mediocrity. Exeter deserved the win

You should have got something from one of those late chances. But you did play crap football, must be the Nathan Jones effect

Every week is the same. We only come alive towards the end when we are a goal down. We rarely take the lead

A poor week for proud no-nonsense Northwestern manhood as the lily-livered degenerate Southern softies take 6 points on the road from Stockport and Wigan. :ffs:

We really fucking ground that one out though, Wigan deserved at least a draw, and could easily have won were it not for our goalie.

The 5-0 on Tuesday was fun to watch, but straining out an ugly defensive win is sometimes more important.

Hahahahahahahahah. 2 more defenders out injured during the game. Only 20% possession. A makeshift side with an overweight Waghorn who only signed the other week and a 17 year old up front. That’s what Birmingham deserve for not giving us one little thing to cheer by not bringing Leonard on. So we’ll take a last minute strike instead.

Excellent response from Stockport. Challinor had to prove he still had control of that dressing room and he's certainly silenced the doubters.

Thank god Wrexham and Mansfield are massive, otherwise you'd have all noticed today....

As we were away I went to Peterborough vs Cambridge with my Cambridge supporting father in law

So that makes our aggregate result for the day 11-2 against, and a very quiet journey home :ffs:

Probably the worst observed minutes silence I’ve ever seen at a football ground, think a few of the younger ones don’t understand the done thing around the last post and silence afterward!

Thought Cambridge started ok, pressed high and won the ball in some good areas but clearly lacked attacking quality to make the most of it with a few flashes across the goal. Peterborough were clearly the better footballing side though and eventually Cambridge got done down their right hand side off of nothing really. Just one ball beat their press and Mothersille was at the centre half, and they essentially totally capitulated from that point forward as the confidence ran through the Peterborough attacking 4.

Obviously seen Peterborough on their best possible day but they were excellent. The attacking 4 linked so well, both wide players Mothersille and Poku in particular caught my eye but obviously Poku with the 3 goals and the assist looked a level above everyone on the pitch. Jade Jones also lead the line and looked to have the pace and power to play much higher. Thought the defender Fernandez was also outstanding.

Cambridge were a total shambles and capitulated so easily. After some wins and in a derby I thought they would have much more about them but second year in a row they’ve been battered like that.

Back to back home wins for us, today we took our chances at key times and Blackpool didn't.

At 0-0 and 1-0 Blackpool had some good chances to score but didn't take them, whereas we did largely due to an excellent performance from Dan Agyei, who managed to set up Sonny Perkins for another goal despite him clearly still not good enough despite his last 2 goals, we looked better when Kelman came on who also scored.

We needed that to keep in touch with the pack, only have on paper 2 tricky fixtures now until the new year so need to be getting points on the board with these. FINALLY took the chances our play makes which meant we won the game, something we've not done too many times this season.

Seen worse sides than Blackpool but in both boxes today they were poor.

Not much to add that isn't apparent from the scoreline at Edgeley Park, County edged it first half, second half the visitors simply didn't come out of the dressing room and fully deserved the thrashing. They'd picked up 19 points from 24 before today. Just shows the sheer unpredictability of this division right now (outside one or two teams)

It was absolutely out of the blue as a result really, midfielders playing at full back, teenagers without a start playing up front, and playing against a striker who's transfer fee was larger than about half a decade of our wage budget. Wouldn't say the result is deserved, but feel this is more a fault of Birmingham's cutting edge today, should really be able to finish us off with the state we're in, but one game doesnt really tell the story of a season.

If birmingham could be even 10% more efficient uptop they’d be lethal

Blackpool were a real nothing side. As uninspired going forward as anyone we’ve played this season, but mostly solid at the back. I get it, teams usually just have to wait for us to implode, but today we didn’t. Deservedly ahead after a positive first half, Blackpool smashed the bar and missed an absolute sitter in quick succession after the restart. Aside from that they never threatened. All our goals came from the classic Pro-Evo tactic of low crosses from close to the goal line resulting in tap-ins at the far post. Unusual efficiency from a side that has flattered to deceive all season.

Things looking up a bit…
Dreadful game of football, and yet again we barely laid a glove on you. Did Crocombe make a save all game?

Chairman has apparently said to the fans on one of the supporter coaches today they will have something to smile about Monday. Imagine that's a new manager. Will need to be a miracle worker to keep this lot up at present.

I really expected a tough game against blackpool about a month ago, they’d been on a decent run before also, we won 2-0 and in fairness they didn’t really touch us, it was as comfortable as they come - again it was a real surprise as i expected better and for some reason always had a soft spot for them (maybe from the season in the PL)

Disappointed with a draw tbh, though Lincoln were poor by their usual standards (that I’ve seen) and we probably shaded it over the full 90.

Pleasing overall though, we’re slowly getting there

Delighted with a point at Birmingham. 11 out and 2 more off today injured, but we had some really good chances. Brum didn’t kill us off, we hung in there and finally took a chance late on to spark delirium in the away end. Top top day out.

Enjoyable watch at Crawley. Both teams will be disappointed not to win. Us because we were ahead twice.

Last 20 minutes was all Huddersfield. When we make subs the drop in quality is palpable. We have a cold virus going round and injuries. I did get to see Sonny Fish today. He's been with us 2 seasons but he has been on loan at conf North and south all this time. Looked better than that as we played him as a left wing back. Not bad for a centre forward.

3 decent goals and our usual cock up from a corner. Our emergency loan keeper made one really good save as well.

Stockport County.
Great win for us that.

We won't get ahead of ourselves, mind. We've seen what's happened to Mansfield Town. They thought they'd cracked this division and now they haven't won for what feels like months.

A big lesson for us to stay humble.
