There should be a dozen penalties a game, because that's a penalty, but weak referring lets defenders get away with it when there's no VAR (who love these)
A football match with a dozen penalties would be atrocious by the way.

Funny how many cry about a decision going our way innit, fans of clubs who have nothing to do with us.

It isn't a penalty btw.

Stockport County.
Definite penalty that. And should be a red card as he's made no attempt to play the ball.

If that's Mullin nobody on here would think it's a pen.

We've not had a pen all season, be nice to get on this conspiracy train ourselves. Stockport get one every week, 1-0 down next weekend already.

On the Mansfield penalty shout, it's one of those where you want one for your side but hardly ever given. It just seems accepted that defenders can give an attacker a nudge or small drag back to knock him off balance.

As for our game, a decent result I think. Sounds a fairly even game with two committed sides cancelling each other out albeit we were quite slow out the blocks by all accounts but finished the game fairly strongly going for the win.

Makama missing another one-on-one, he must have missed three or four already this season.

9k a week and he couldn't get a shot off, lost the ball then fell at the slightest touch on his back. Should be embarressed.

Mansfield's third game v a top 6 away and lost 2 of them.

That’s not a pen. Don’t get me wrong, I’d call it in the ground, but the striker goes down so easily I’d book him for diving tbh.

I’m with the majority here, it’s a penalty.

I do understand where some Wrexham fans are coming from (especially with the added bias) because Gregory is looking for it, but the defenders probably gave himself cramp he had to overextend his arm to reach him, it’s a blatant push.

Still think we should be looking at ourselves for not getting something out of that game, we’ve always struggled more against a side that is happy to sit back without the ball mind. I thought we were the better side, but we’ve won games this season when we definitely weren’t.

got a rough run in now, so it’s probably gunna be a long slog to the new year

If he's had to overextend his arm to reach Gregory, can't be anywhere near enough force in the touch for him to go down like he does.

Have you never played football before? When running full pelt it barely takes anything…..

i don't even know what the rules are anymore anyway, they seem to change the description of what is and isnt a penalty all the time.

whether it was or wasn't, it doesnt matter because if anyone was watching the game youd know mansfield would have stuck it over the bar anyway.

every time we play them they just cant find the net.

If we could convert a chance we would be a decent side lol felt like a loss conceding that late on, Davies needs to bite the bullet stick Stanno out wide and have May thru the middle, shoe horning a player in because we paid a large fee for him is to our detriment, May needs to be the 9.

Fair play to Northampton for hanging in there and they did have 2/3 good chances over the 97 mins, probably did not deserve their point but hung in there and put bodies on the line.

If we weren't creating chances i would be worried, just need to start games better and find our shooting boots. We are just trying to make things interesting early doors tbf... :)

I've obviously only seen you once but I thought against us you didn't create as many chances or openings as you perhaps should given all the possession you had and also gave up a handful of potential turnover opportunities as well that might catch you out and some games, as this one probably showed.

You're obviously a good side and will win far more than you lose or draw this season, mind!

That is fair, we dont create as much as we should really, its tough to say we are in control of games with 70 percent possession but with only a 1 goal lead for example, risky position and always likely to offer up a few chances and in recent weeks it has cost us.

Just hoping things can click at some point, we need to start games better and with more intensity but the way we play doesnt lend itself to getting bums off seats, hard to generate atmosphere/tempo

That’s a blatant penalty hahahaha.

I don’t know the stats of the biggest game outside the PL this weekend, Wrexham v Mansfield, but that should have been a penalty. And would say the same if it were the other way round

It’s all done with now, the next el Classico is Stockport v Wrexham saturday but I missed quite a few post in this thread and the fact someone would put that video up as evidence it’s not a penalty is genuinely fucking mental, and a bit counterproductive to say the least!
