Beat Peterborough 2-0. Free kick from Woodrow and a deflected goal from Cornick that was in reality an own goal I think, or would have been in a normal game as it looked like he was trying to pass rather than shoot.

Was a bit of a b side I think as a few first framers didn’t feature. Had a lad called Max Haygarth play a few minutes too, on trial having left Brentford

Right - the season starts in 8 days. Well, 1 week today officially, so shit is about to get real folks.

We still need that one defender which we don't seem to be close to filling. Some teams seem to be a lot closer to being ready than others.

We have West Ham (H) tomorrow. They lost 3-1 to Rangers in midweek whilst we've won all five friendlies so far. Should be around 6,000 in attendance I'd say.

Lowe still wants 2 strikers and 2 wingbacks.

We still have a competitive side but those 4 signings could actually make the season very interesting.

Luton are very much ready to rock. An improvement on last season is very much on based on our preseason recruitment and upgrade in quality in certain areas.

Just need to feel that Naismith sized hole.

Really competitive 1-1 v an almost full strength West Ham. Soucek headed in a well placed cross from Masuaku before Sonny Bradley knocked in a last minute Dion Pereira cross.

1-1 with West Ham. Late late goal from Sonny Bradley from all of 1 yard.

Thought we looked good, very competitive game that I thought we were pretty well on top of before some real premier league quality from Cresswell to find Soucek for an excellent header. We looked good in attack I felt but didn’t create enough off it really but second half we started really bright, and probably should have been level before we eventually where.

Some really strong showings in there, Clark looked good and his little slide rule pass for Cornick chance was top quality. Felt Osho looked really assured up against Antonio bar one pretty unfortunate moment where he won his header only for it to cannon through off Clark and too Antonio, for which Horvath made a really great save. Adebayo as ever excellent, when he is actually fit he really is some player, it was a reminder he was pretty much playing half speed at the end of last season. Do think the midfield 3 of Campbell, Clark, Berry is the best for the style of high press intensity we want to play with. So much energy in that midfield.

Could have been level before we were I felt with a bit more sharpness in attack but looking good

Lost 2-1 to Leicester. McCann bagged for us, Vardy & Madison for them. Didn't see any of it.

Not seen either goal to comment on how vital the contribution was but saw Dewsbury Hall apparently provided the assist for both Leicester goals.

Big season for him coming up, if he pushes on from a solid season that he had last time out he could be making big moves and getting England call ups. His progression since coming here has been phenomenal.

We have St Johnstone lined up during the break.

Looks like we're doing our ex-captain Callum Davidson a favour and letting them use Euxton for three days.

Beat St Johnstone 3-0 in a behind closed doors game. DJ, Leigh, and O'Neill with the goals. Got Leeds next.

We drew 1-1 with Reading at their training ground yesterday. Not much details on the game about but apparently Jordan Clark with our goal.

Drew 0-0 with a very strong Arsenal side at theirs training ground yesterday. Had there World Cup players back including Saka etc so a decent tune up for us given it’s been a bit stop start with losing the game last week to the weather. Also looks like Potts made a return which is extremely good news.

That’s a quick recovery from a broken back!

Yeah not bad at all, did it beginning of November in the Blackpool win and back playing an albeit friendly game mid December.

The World Cup break and the postponement last week was very much needed for us otherwise we would have played a significant chunk of the season with probably 1 centre half actually fit.

Supposedly our game in Benidorm could be Millwall haha, that's a recipe for disaster. Sun, €2 pints, and bucket hats.

Won our annual Bamber Bridge friendly 7-0. The second half youth lads showed up the seniors.

OG, Slater (2), Nelson (2), Rodriguez-Gentile, O'Neill.

0/0 against Boreham Wood.

Neither of the new signings played .

Hopefully they and about 5/6 other new players have a good impact or might be a long season !

We put out a shitty side at Barrow and unsurprisingly lost 1-0.

Woodburn up front... Christ.

In maybe the most weird and uninspiring friendly ever, we lost 2-1 at home to Ipswich.

Playing a team in the same league on a Wednesday night when they have to travel a long distance is just bizarre.

16yr old Rodgriguez-Gentile bagging his 3rd or 4th of pre-season, he's tiny but he'd be getting minutes off the bench for me this season, his movement and finishing looks a class above.

Still no Hughes, Ramsay, Whiteman, Holmes, Riis or Evans for us, sounds like Brady is injured now as well. Shite pre-season.

I don’t read too much into pre season games or results but we’ve just drawn 0-0 with Real Murcia and got lumped 4-0 this morning by a side I’ve never heard of.

Managed to play our strongest squad of the summer so far and beat Aberdeen 2-0. Frokjaer-Jensen with two very nice goals.

Strange friendlies today. Split the squad in two and played Cambridge and Stevenage with different squads. Lost both 2-1, but assume it was just about getting fitness levels up as neither squad looked particularly strong, but against Stevenage was definitely stronger.

Intrigued if we go full strength on Tuesday against Luton Town. I assume so!

A very underwhelming pre-season with injuries to key players, i've never known the youth lads to get so much game time in a pre-season before. Hopefully a few can make a mark this season.

Bamber Bridge 7-0 Win
Bruno's Magpie's 3-0 Win
Barrow 0-1 Loss
Ipswich 1-2 Loss
Aberdeen 2-0 Win
Fleetwood 0-0 Draw

Our final game is away at Stockport on Saturday.

Finished 1-1 at Colchester. A lot of our fans are bleating about our squad, but in reality, Ipswich appeared pretty strong whereas we had a mix of first teamers and squad players out, for what is our first friendly in front of a crowd at least.
