Incredible really that Stoke have only played a couple of million for Rowett. I’d be livid if we lost Cook for a paltry figure like that a year or so down the line. He’s worth more than any of our players and we had a 10 million bid for one of them in January. Surprised that compensation for managers is still so low in the modern day game where money rules.

We got a million for Grayson and Snodin, fairly happy with that in hindsight.

BetVictor have suspended betting, saying that it looks like Lampard has the job.

The odds on Sky Bet for Darren Wassall to have another stint keep falling today though, and I can’t think of anything worse. Genuinely would rather have Paul Jewell or Billy Davies back.
