RefWatch; Ref for Wombles v Gas game is Santa Claus, 55, from the North Pole. First season as FL ref. Claims to work in the gifts industry but rumours persist that he's a leading figure in London's sex & drugs industry, as he is often seen riding in his sleigh with 'Santa's North PoleDancing Ho Ho Hos' emblazoned on the side whilst selling his special packs of 'snow'. FIFA Ethics Committee (headed by Jack Warner) are investigating, so he'll be fine. Nearly blind due to a chronic whiskey problem, morbidly obese due to a crippling mince pie addiction, and has agonizing syphilis from rampant orgies with Eskimos & penguins. But that's enough about Brendan Malone - Santa's ok, he's just like a fat Trevor Kettle.

Reffed Wombles once, the brutal 3-0 away defeat to Lapland in the Ryman, when Keds got a straight red after elbowing Rudolf in the nose, Hatton got antlered in the balls by Dancer, and Blitzen scored a stunning second-half hat trick. Never reffed the Gas. Fat, jolly chap, always smiling, but give him until half time & he'll be slashing his wrists & snorting meth off an elf's tits after watching our 'tactical' football (more gegendepressing than gegenpressing). Hates the scum. Reffed them once & he shagged Karl Robinson's wife (the 'actress' with the 'girl next door looks', yeah, if you live next door to a fucking zoo). Hates them. In 36 games last year he put 67 on the Naughty List - harsh.

AnagramWatch; Santa Claus = You're Just A Fat Trevor Kettle.

Don't quite know how you follow up from that.

1-2 Rovers, AFCW to take solace from excellent thread starting abilities.

Ref watch very funny as usual.
This is a game that Wombles HAVE to win, mostly because I have a pint on with a Gas, $6.50 (3.25 approx in your money) not giving that up easily. any way going Wombles win 2-1.
Merry Christmas to everyone especially all the Wombles on here. Just as a side note Me and my fellow Kiwis will be among the first to see in Christmas day, when you wake in UK at around 8am it will already be 9pm Christmas night here, also we get a summer Christmas, no snow here. 35 deg here yesterday !!!!!

More pressure on Ardley as the team fail to perform of the full 90 minutes. Dull uninspiring score draw.....if we're lucky.

Whats the betting Ardley uses "We were brave" in his post match interview

I'm going for a 0-1 win for the gas, our record is generally good against the wombles and as long as the players don't have too much turkey i can see us notching another away win.

I'm expecting another tough match.

I'm sure Wimbledon will be lifted by a fantastic comeback at Newport and go into this game with renewed confidence. Prior to that they'd been on a pretty poor run since winning 3 on the trot and scoring 9 goals in the process at the end of October.

I was impressed when I watched them on the box at Pompey on Nov 15th, they were unlucky not to win on the balance of play.

Looking at their results to date I'd say they're pretty unpredictable.

It was good to get an away win at Dagenham last weekend as we'd lost 2 and drawn 1 of our previous 3 on the road but we didn't actually play that well.

Injuries picked up by Puddy and especially Sinclair are a concern. Hopefully if Sincs is out Lines might have recovered from his injury to take his place. If not we're going to be struggling for numbers in the centre of midfield.

Think this one could go either way. I'd be fairly happy with a point but feel it's a game we could win if we're at our best.

touching wood when i type this but we've only conceded 3 goals twice this season:

Morcambe 3 - 4 Gas
Gas 1 - 4 Zooport

so i'm thinking it will be a low scoring game.

A message to our gas neighbours.
As City fans, we are deeply sorry for the brain dead idiots who have defaced the Memorial ground overnight. personally, I am absolutely raging.
Sincere apologies people, the vast majority of reds are disgusted by this!
Merry Xmas by the way.

The away terrace is the worst in the league. If you want to see the game arrive early or buy a seat.

I'm currently in Rovers/City territory (WsM) and I won't be at the match on Boxing Day. Probably a good thing as I fear the worst.

Prove me wrong Wimbledon!

Sadly its always the idiots that make the headlines. Tbf, I've been pretty impressed by City's official reaction (not that they would act in any other way tbf), and again, a clean up fund being paid by City fans. Thankfully, 99% of Rovers fans know that 99% of City fans would never do this.

Merry Christmas Ciderup.

As for the game, tough one this, got an odd feeling we'll lose but honestly, neither result would surprise me. Lets see how we can prove our worth of the play offs though.

Less than 100 tickets available on the turnstiles for Rovers fans.
All home areas have now sold out.

Thought that was quite an entertaining 0-0 draw. Played better football than usual, and had a better atmosphere than usual. Hope it lasts and we can win some games now :2thumb:
