Wednesdays replica kit will finally go on sale on Monday.the delays came due to the club taking the manufacture in house basically so they could make more profit, the shirts are costing the club approx £2 each as opposed to the £12 they were paying Sondico. With all this mind and the fact they’re so late you would think the club would have discounted the shirts or sold them at a cheaper price in general. But no, just the small matter of £59

Ouch! I know our fans weren't happy when we started doing them ourselves and the price didn't go down but think they're still £45 or so.

My kids still want paying for making these shirts.

Seems Steve Bruce is whining about the noise at Molineux. Says it was like we had won the Premier League.

On behalf of everyone at Wolverhampton Wanderers, can I apologise to Steve Bruce for the noise at Molineux. Appreciate that Mr Bruce wishes to enjoy his football in a calm, quiet, mindful environment. Or Villa Park, as we call it.

It'll be another three years appealing.

I hope they are adding interest to this fine when they finally pay up

If we don't get back into the Premiership I have no idea how we can afford to pay that. Biggest fine ever in sport.

That could kill QPR, what about all the other sides that have failed it? Quite happy we are sticking within the rules now.

Bournemouth got a fine and paid up IIRC, everyone else I think has just had transfer restrictions which they've all abided by.

If it turns out that QPR don't have to pay the fine, there's going to be a lot of clubs suiing the EFL for messing them around over the years. Can't see QPR getting away with it though. The rules were clear for everyone, and they willingly and knowingly broke them.

Yeah as far as we know, Sky's reporting yesterday that this could impact Bournemouth is wide of the mark.

We got a fine of 7m because the FL weren't able to impose a transfer ban (because we no longer came under their jurisdiction). Whilst technically not obliged to pay the fine until such time as we got relegated, for the same reason of jurisdiction, we paid it anyway. As reported in media at the time, but more conclusively as was itemised in our 15/16 accounts. That should be the end of the matter - far as we know.

Very little comes out from the top of the club these days, so we have to base everything on what public info there is - such as the Companies House accounts.

I can't speak for Leicester, don't know enough about their circumstances.

Interesting article to read QPR_Matt thanks for posting the link.

A good (long) read from a QPR fan:

https://www.fansnetwork.co.uk/football/queensparkrangers/news/46804

Pointing out that our owners signed these players on massive contracts, but couldn't do much about it when relegated despite our best efforts. But still our fault for signing these has beens in the first place.
The main point of the article seems to be that the size of the fine is disproportionate to the amount of money QPR makes and spends now.

The fine was levied at them 4 years ago, back when they were throwing money around like nobodies business, and in the PL. The only reason they have to pay it now is because they refused to pay it before, when they had PL payments and parachute fees.

They broke the rules the season they went up, and could have easily paid it in the time that has gone by since but haven’t. They have just tried to delay and delay and delay.

The only people QPR have to blame is themselves, they took a gamble and refused to deal with the consequences.

We will always be a bigger game for you than you are for us. Add to that you are playing well and was top of the league. Villa Park is too quiet too often, but when it's in full voice there are not many grounds better.

We always regard West Brom as our main derby match, as you do with Birmingham. Maybe it's because i'm younger but I always find playing Birmingham is more of a derby to us than Villa, but thats because we always seem to be in the same league.

Long before I was born Villa and Wolves would be a huge game, back when we were 2 of the best clubs in Europe/the world. This was the 50/60's though.

Historically, our big rivalry has been with Villa. But I am starting to sense that some Blues fans have got bored of the rivalry. Myself, I am a bit ambivalent towards ‘em now. Someone on our forum likened the rivalry to Millwall not having West Ham but Fulham as their main rival. It will be a lot feistier when we play Wolves, always has been. Should be our main rivalry, really.

Must admit I'm getting bored of it, but that's down to the police. I know why your lot are bored and it's a typical way of thinking for blues fans. It's because we don't have a big hooligan element at the derby games anymore. Pretty pathetic really but typical blues. Fulham :bg: we are ten times the club you will ever be. Wolves still have a large hooligan element so that makes sense. One thing I will say and that is our support at your place the last two years has been utter shite.

The 50s and 60s weren't that great for us. It's always been blues, Albion then wolves. Some fans see Albion as our traditional rivals.

Couple of years ago newts stopped a team near me from being promoted.
They were having a new ground built but some newts made it their home and it delayed work by several months and pushing back their first season there by a year.
They then won their division but couldnt take promotion because the new ground wasn't ready.
