So how am I going to do this? I want to stay up until the very end but I think I might start flagging.

Might try to sleep for an hour or two now before things get going.

I know, same here. Are you watching it on BBC? I will be. Got an early start tomorrow, but I;ll worry about that in the morning.

Surely having an early night and getting up early is the better option? Bugger all will happen till 3/4 am.

The key to staying awake is having something to eat when you start to feel tired. A bit of fuel lets you stay awake much better than loads of caffeine IMO.

Macclesfield Town/Manchester City. It's complicated.

Are there any marginal seats that are expected to announce their votes early?

I'm going to have a shower, that sometimes wakes me up. I like to see if any marginals get overturned though CB. It'll be Sunderland first that declares won't it? Usually is.

They're normally quite accurate but surely there's a mistake. Everything was indicating a close run thing. No way are the Tories so far ahead?

Yea I can't quite believe that at all. Talking about a 40 swing from most recent polls.

Yeah, it seems off, but I wouldn't complain for a second.

Nailbiter if it is accurate, right on the money for 326 Con/Lib coalition.

I would! I'd be pretty gutted to be honest. I had high hopes for a Labour led government.

If it's anywhere close, a Labour led government is almost impossible (even with co-operation from all the minor parties put together!). Not to mention would it be completely illegitimate on those figures.

Going to try and keep a lid on it as I know there will be strong, varying opinions (naturally) on this... but I'm fucking delighted if it's anywhere close.

Well if that is right their scaremongering tactic about Scotland has worked its trick in England.

and in typical ironic ways Scotlands big call to 'oust the tories' will be just about the cause for a majority Tory Government :ffs:

I do worry about a majority tory government, at least a coalition did keep them pegged down abit.

If correct would mean the first time in 32 years that the current Government has gained seats.

Going to be a long night if the exit poll is accurate. And if it is the pollsters have been massively off the mark for months, nay years...

of course there is one other twist yet.

If Lib dem do collapse that massively they may say no to another link to the conservatives which throws a problem for them and a majority.

Well Scotland will leave shortly if this is the new government. Potentially Tory-UKIP-DUP, right-wing bigotry all over the shop.

Best hope is Scotland leaves and we're plunged into a crisis whereby Northern cities can revolt against the government and join with Scotland.

If it was correct, they could go with DUP and pretty much almost have a majority.

I'm with you though I'd find it hilarious if SNP did so well in Scotland that they ended up making sure the Tories won
