Very negative to say we will go down. Kneejerk to a slapping i hope. We knew it would be tough and to be honest i dont think its been as tough as i expected, as we havent been outclassed throughout a whole game yet. The difference in ruthlessness is stark tho.

Hull were no better but got or made the breaks when needed and produced a classic away performance. I saw a loss on the cards early second half but expected it to be a breakaway single goal.

We do need to solidify tho. Brown too lighweight for the system and there's not enough support for the cetre halves and we continually get caught down our right with Bolton playing.

Weve got enough about us to stay up and or make a good fight of it so long as we dont lose confidence and belief. It was always gonna be tough.

Jones has just said on 3cr that he’d rather score goals and lose than keep a clean sheet, which informs a lot of the selection decisions of late. Probably a Freudian slip but still...

We are atrocious defensively and I’m not sure Jones really knows what to do to remedy that. Going into today’s game unchanged from last weeks appalling display defensively can be described as naive at best.

I honestly don't know where to start with that second half collapse. Hull were an average side, but as above (and credit to McCann for this as he got thumped 4-0 himself here a few months ago) it was a classic away performance.

I don't think Hull came to play overly attacking that a 3-0 scoreline would suggest. They were in effect playing us 'on the break' and were structured and rigid. Kevin Stewart in the middle of the park was running the show and broke the play up really well.

Luton selected the same team and tactics that were cruelly undone v QPR last weekend. Lessons clearly not learned and bollock well and truly dropped again.

In the first half we bossed the possession but had a grand total of zero shots on target. The second half was a complete horror show.

The second and third goals were just a complete joke. The second being a nothing ball over the top - Pearson watches it sailing over his head and Hull run onto it and Sluga again can't keep it out.

The third is just Keystone Cops stuff.

What is so concerning - it was the most un-Luton type performance I've seen in a long time. It was gutless and the way we lost was just unacceptable.

We need to go back to basics that has served us so well for 2.5 years.

He hasn't got much choice - we can't sign any more players for 3 months.

Honeymoon over pal

Well and truly now.

I haven’t had to say this about my team for a long while but they were a fucking disgrace today. Last week we were poor, this was a whole other level.

Happened to Leeds for two years now. You can pretty as you like but this is the Championship and if you’re not ruthless you don’t go up

They’re missing a collective pair of bollocks as a club

Didn’t think Hull were that good to be frank but still beat us 3-0 and with some comfort which goes without saying is not a good sign.

Sort of confirmed what I thought going into the season, we’ll go down but still try to play our football doing it.

Early days pal, we were bottom three in October but finished 11th in our first season back.

Good point for us in the end, Fulham had a lot more of the ball but did nothing with it apart from for the goal, we created more chances and had we gone in front when we had the first half chances I think we'd have won this one. Think Fulham will be a bit like West Brom last season, great squad but rookie manager will ultimately lead them to finish short of the top 2 and potentially even the top 6. Good to see Nuhiu come up with another important goal, laughable some of our retard fan base can't see how he's needed in the squad, we're in a good position at the minute in striking distance of the play offs and I'd have taken that in August. Onto the big cup game against Everton now.

Another MOM performance for Massengo on Saturday.

Something stinks about that deal. 1) I don't understand how we have him, and 2) how on earth did he cost less than £3m and why did they let him go?

He's going to become some player, bossing games at this level technically and physically and he turned 18 2 months ago.

Back to the grind on Saturday, Bristol City at home, haven't lost to this lot in the last twelve games and they're having a bad time with injuries right now.

Bad runs have to end at some point though and they look decent on the road, expecting a good game.

Expecting seven changes from last night, Rudd, Bauer, Hughes, Pearson, Gallagher, Bodin & Maguire back in.

Rudd
Fisher, Bauer, Davies, Hughes
Pearson, Gallagher
Bodin, Johnson, Maguire
Barkhuizen

We’re away at Barnsley, who’ve been struggling, but then so have we.

I hope we ditch the 5 man defence against bad teams, or when at home. It’s certainly helped us bring down the goals against column (3rd lowest in the league), but we just aren’t scoring.

My guess is we line up as we have done over the past few weeks. Really hope we win, need to get a bit of momentum going

We have WBA coming to us. They have Austin who hasn't scored, so he'll score on his first return to LR.

They have Phillips who I don't think has played us at LR yet, so he'll score.

They have Furlong as well, so he'll score so I will go for a 4-3 home win.

Away at Middlesbrough, hoping we get a good result here especially after the team selection on Tuesday night, Boro haven't had a great start despite having a strong squad and with a rookie manager it's probably a good chance to get some points from them. Wouldn't expect too many changes from last Saturday, maybe Lees back if fit, for Odubajo with Iorfa moving over to right back.

Blackburn on the agenda for us tomorrow. They have won there last 2 so in a bit of form whereas we most certainly are not. From the outside looking in they seem like the sort of side who will be in the upper part of mid table, so as our aspirations are scraping whatever we can get it’s the sort of game where if we are to scrape up, that a point would be ideal from. Anything to stop the rot from setting in further actually, we will certainly not want to ship a load more goals.

Need to wake up a bit defensively as since the international break in particular we have been all over the place at the back. Want to see us drop this shape we have been playing that has seemingly gone from a “tweaked” 442 diamond to basically an all out 433. It’s just been exposing all our weaknesses and attacking wise we haven’t looked particularly coherent either.

Bolton needs dropping at right back allowing Bree to get across and getting a left footer in on the other side (Potts or Galloway although bar a fleeting few minutes at QPR for the latter neither has had a very strong start to the season). Hopefully that should make us a bit more balanced back there. Midfield needs Butterfield to do something akin to a DM job whilst Rea gets back to fitness.

Midfield there are options, but primarily Id be happy to see us go back to to a proper 4 in there with Butterfield, Pelly, Tunnicliffe and then perhaps Shinnie at the 10 spot. That looks significantly stronger than what we have put out of late with Cornick/Collins up top. Might lack a bit of width but at least it’s looks a bit more solid.

Luton not the kind of place you want to get caught in the home end I reckon.
