First win over Blackburn at home for 19 years. 4-2 and from those that went, it could have been a lot more. We are still looking a pretty decent side and it was key to bounce back from back to back losses with a win heading into the break.

For the first time in about 2 years, I don't have that sinking feeling anymore. We finally have a confident team again. Still pretty limited, and lots of work to do, but think there'll be 3 worse teams than us.

Because thinking we can get mid table really is prime Barcelona. Weird fan base.
It was his comment about you making a good go at it next season pal, very very early to make that assumption

Why is a club that has only just been relegated from the Prem making a go of it next season at all unrealistic? It's ridiculous that we started so badly this season. Having a go next season isn't ambition, it's a reasonable expectation considering our recent income and current stature.

Current stature? You can pop some lipstick on a bulldog and it'll still be a bulldog pal, Huddersfield are a medium sized Championship club, nothing more, same with Stoke, a couple of standard seasons and you'll be back to pre Wagner status.

Is the new owner as committed or ambitious as Dean Hoyle?

I don't disagree with much of that, but the Prem money will be a strong legacy. The clubs infrastructure and assets have already really improved because of it and despite one of the worst runs of results by any club in recent times we are still averaging over 20k. So again, why is it unrealistic for us to just aim to give it a go next season?
Early days for the new owner but, like Hoyle, he is a lifelong fan, so is totally committed.

The gates have held up for now, not sure what prices you pay but if the club treads water will fans stick around, particularly if the money dries up.

Personally think ambition is great but would think this is a 3 year turn around for the Cowleys, the big wages need moving on and players who want to buy in the Cowley ethos

Great to see Kieffer Moore get his first goal of the season.

That was a strange move to Wigan - did they offer a very good fee or he wanted to go ?

He’ll start scoring for us once we’ve binned Cook. Poor lad plays on a different pitch to the rest of the team. I’ve not seen him have a single chance inside the box yet with his feet or head.

The header at Hillsborough last week not count then?

I’ve not seen the game or watched the highlights. Seen us play six times this season, we’ve scored one goal. Moore has not had a single chance that I remember.

Ah fair enough. Took a blinding save to deny him.

Reading away next, always annoying playing a side who have just sacked their manager, no doubt makes this game tougher and they actually have a good team on paper.

Hopefully we have Hughes & Bodin back and Browne/ Maguire come back from Ireland duty unscathed.

Could move into the top two if West Brom or Forest slip up away from home.

Pearson, Gallagher
Bodin, Johnson, Maguire

We're away at Cardiff on friday night live on Sky. We'd actually go top of the table if we win before everyone else kicks off, which just shows how ridiculous the league is this year. Also in typical Wednesday fashion we will lose this 1-0, especially considering we are up against a Warnock team, he'll have been counting down the days to this one the c***.

After the break we are looking far stronger squad wise, don't think we actually have any injury concerns apart from David Bates who has barely featured anyway, think the pre season Bruce gave them and the new fitness coach is paying off considering the chronic injury issues we've had for the last 3 years. Lees is back from injury and Hutchinson and Forestieri are back from suspension. No idea if there will be any changes from the win against Wigan, Pelupessy will probably drop out for Hutchinson, Lees should also have to wait his chance to come back in after Iorfa has done so well in his absence.

Struggled to break into the team at the start of the season, think he was a bit behind fitness wise anyway then we had a decent start. Has looked handy, we need a box to box midfielder as Lee is still not back to 100%, and after his performance and goal before the break I expect he'll keep his place this weekend.

Millwall at home - feels like a game we should be winning if we want to start climbing the table. Not that confident given our recent performances though.

With Canos injured, I imagine we'll stick with a back 4 and Watkins up top.

Why the fuck are Cardiff on TV again tomorrow night? Sky seem intent on airing the shittiest fixtures known to man on Friday nights this season.

Only good one was the opening game of the season because the defending and keeping was bollocks.

It wont be one for the neutrals tomorrow, two organised teams, either a 0-0 or 1-0 either way.

Luton away then this weekend. I’m looking forward to be walking in somebody’s kitchen to get to the away turnstiles.

Should be a good crack.

What odds would you get?

We have Hull away tomorrow. We haven't won there is 30 odd years, I didn't know that. Hopefully we can beat them but I think it'll be a draw (even though I said QPR win in the prediction game).

Didn’t look in the end. Stuck under 2.5 in a treble with Lincoln and Tranmere but it’s not going very well.

Good half that from us, but my god Cardiff have been dreadful. Only negative is we aren't 2 or 3 up, looking solid and have a threat going forward, if we get the next goal they wont come back, they look like a side suffering a relegation hangover.

Lee Tomlin equalised - a name probably forgotten about by many .

Was a soft foul and Flint offside in front of the goalie .

Referee was complete shite, I'd have taken a point before the game but feels a bit disappointing after that. We didn't take our chances and we got punished late on, that's usually how it works for us.
