OK, it's the wrong thread but yesterday at the Swiss-Serbia match I had to laugh when Mitro and Shaqiri had a talk at half time. Giant and dwarf (no offense don't know the correct term). Mitro is surely no Rocket science engineer by the looks of it more like a bouncer but not of the unlikely sort.

Indeed. I didn't realise it that in the "new millenium" 3 of the last 4 European World Cup Champs were knocked out in the group stages in the following World Cup: France (2002), Italy (2010), Spain (2014) (only Brazil "survived" in 2006 but they aren't Europeans). So it seems we could avoid this fate by "a hair breadth" (although we are not through yet. Hopefully we don't have jinxed it now )

Yes, that was a big theme in the German media, too, and you could hear it in the after match interviews with the players. Let's see. I am still sceptic but that's my temper. Goes only away at the final whistle in the Final when we have won it

At least every team in this group has something to play for in the last match because not even Mexico is secure with 2 wins and South Korea is not yet out. Something we can't say about other groups where we have some "friendlies" in the last match because teams are already out.

Sweden needs only to win 1-0 against Mexico to have the edge over the Speedy Gonzalez men (and tbh I can't see them score more than 1 Goal) and we aren't through yet

btw: The last time Germany was 0-1 down at halftime in a group match and reversed the score was in 1974......against Sweden (and coincidentally back then we also lost a group match with 0-1, against the German "Democrats" (aka Commies). And we know how the story of the World Cup ended...Just saying

Yeah, and we could have scored a few more (Brandt, Gomez etc) but we haven't like your team. That's the problem.

What I mean is, Sweden is great for defence but they lack it normally in attack (and they can't rely on Mexico to make such stupid passes like Rüdiger and Kroos in the 1st half that gave you chances).
