That's a sickening result. By far and away the better side from start to finish against a dreadful Tranmere side. Game spoilt by Boyeson as per usual but that's probably the best performance under Hughes especially given the circumstances.

That was a proper throwback to what long trips north always used to be like when we were shit, outmuscled and outfought all over the pitch, concede early and get properly thrashed whilst looking disorganised and dejected.

3 of our last 5 games are away at Bristol Rovers, Swindon & Mansfield, if we don’t beat Oldham on Monday Exeter will stroll to the title from here. We’ll fall over the line thanks to Mansfield going off the boil but the way so many teams have worked us out and I’d not seeming to have a plan b is a worry for next season.

On top first half but didn’t take advantage of it, let Vale back into it. We just lacked a bit of a cutting edge. Not too sure what the circumstances have been but good to see Darrell Clarke back at the Vic.

Great day for us, even with the Vale result. 7 points clear of fourth with five games to go is better than any of us can hope for.
Thought Colchester defended well and but for their two centre halfs and their goalkeeper it would have been six or seven.
Difficult game at Tranmere on Monday but we can beat anyone at the moment.
FGR look hopeless on corners by the way!

They reminded me of when they were under Ronnie Moore, diving about and putting players in head locks. I wouldn’t be happy with that performance if I were them when chasing the playoffs, but for one bit of quality they offered nothing and we haven’t won at home in 3 months and obviously had 10 men most the game.

Best we've played since being promoted - maybe all it took was dropping Banks, who's been garbage for weeks. No real change in system or style, the only real difference seemed to be the fact that all 11 players were making an effort - though Forest Green didn't seem to have any idea what to do today.

The frustrating thing is that we've left it this late in the season.

Football is an odd game and Crawley are an odd team. We're winning. We're all over them. What should we do? Keep doing what we're doing but watch for them changing shape or sit deeper a defend all second half ? I'll let you guess what we did?

If you get a chance to see some highlights there was a bit where Dominic Telford picked up the ball ran with it into our half and tried to chip our keeper, Morris, from 40 yards. Lovely football and shows why he probably won't be at Newport next season.

Our two goals were good as well. Not brilliant: but good goals.

I though we looked really comfortable today right up until when we conceded and the plan just went out the window after that, real poor end to the game, we looked like 11 players just running around, structure had gone, it was one of those games for Port Vale when you're in a promotion battle were performances don't matter, they got into it second half after a poor first, scored and took all three points comfortably in the end.

Bit of a sickener losing that, I thought we more than matched them but without creating much. Should've had a pen in the first half, absolute stonewaller but like you both said, not enough guile.

That leads me on to Marcus Carver, I just do not see what he can offer at this level. No pace, not great movement or hold up play, doesn't get into goal scoring positions. He has a lot to improve on.

Well done to Vale felt like a proper game on Ifollow and I miss being in away crowds going nuts. Good club and hope they go on to L1.

Yeah Carver's not the answer, I don't think he has it in him to be a league player but we're stuck with this paper thin squad now till the end of the season, we couldn't even fill the bench up today.

I wouldn't even enquire about Fletcher or White for next season and Hull had a good game, he needs to be alongside someone with pace though cos he absolutely none.

Hopefully Scunthorpe’s takeover happens soon and they can rebuild over the summer.

There are some pluses to Scunthorpe will be on TV quite a lot next season and get to play in the FA Trophy, which is 10x better then the pizza cup and gets you a trip to Wembley.

Excellent win. Oldham were absolutely garbage for the most part, but it was very professional from us. Feeling more confident of the playoffs now.
You didn’t get into 2 nd gear easy away win we were so flat after last week’s performance against port vale, and results against us today think I’m excepting we are going down unless a miracle happens. Just a question for you do you normally travel in such small numbers i thought you’d of brought more

Decent performance from 10 man Bradford today, who were unlucky not to take all 3 points. Took 80 minutes for Tranmere to force the Bradford keeper into making a save with a weak header. Only piece of quality from us resulted in our goal, a sublime turn and finish from McManaman.
Harsh sending off in my opinion. another example highlighting the inconsistency of refereeing in the EFL.

Our set pieces at both ends were appalling today, perfectly summed up by Barrow’s first goal, crap corner from us, they break win a corner and we decide to leave two players totally free on the back post for an easy finish. Great examples of how not to either attack or defend corners, in the space of a minute.

I do wonder what Rowberry is doing with the squad in training all week. That's the third game on the trot at home where County look defeated barely before a ball has been kicked. From kick off they look bereft of confidence, energy, structure and ideas. WTF?!

They've lost all belief in themselves. Slight improvement in the second half but overall not good enough.

Wouldn't surprise me if they pull off another result away at Sutton because the pressure is off them to go out and take the game to the opposition.

Day needs to be dropped, Townsend in. Pask is back from injury, he needs to come in for Clarke. CBR poor return on his first game back, bring in Collins, he looked lively and looks capable of creating an assist or goal every time I'v seen him play.

Will we be on TV quite a lot?

If Oldham go down with us we will be about the 10th biggest club in that league

It's not just Carver, Shelton in midfield doesn't offer enough creatively. I'd be tempted to start White over him.

I like the keeper on both occasions he's played, Bilokapic. I'd ask if he fancies being a number 2 next season. Morris I'd sign up as well and think there's a canny chance he would. Agree on the others.

What are your thoughts on how your team play? I’ve heard a few of your fans say you’re very negative especially away, your performance was very much like us under Adams but with a bit of quality to equalise. We have nothing to play for and haven’t won at home in over 3 months, I’d be expecting to roll over a team of the tables were turned.

We will be with you.
But if we use size as a table we will be 2nd to Notts County...... yeyyyy 2nd in a league...... I afraid size wont matter, size of budgets only imo
