I am pretty much the same, really laid back but will always challenge things like racism, sexism and homophobia in any situation.

In my case I reported a post that was racist, the person was banned for a couple of weeks but allowed to return to the forum. They have since been banned again for racism, for posting derogatory comments about a specific ethnic group, and posting links to an article that was linked to a person from the far right. Despite being warned about what they had done they re-posted it, claiming ignorance, and going into battle with the forum moderators. They also sent the link in a PM in some warped attempt to justify their actions. Unsurprisingly they were banned again for that infraction and are currently serving a lengthy ban for further breaches of forum rules.

I was surprised that they were allowed to return to the forum after a ban for racism, thinking it was something that should have resulted in a more serious sanction...the fact that they are a repeat offender makes me wonder how serious our club has actually treated the matter...to say I am not happy is somewhat of an understatement.

i am sure that you have not posted that to get praise, but well done. You did exactly the right thing, it is only by calling out such things will anything change. I hope I would do the right thing too.

Looking at the Southend forum I feel that many of them would consider it a bonus if Akinola were to end up with a ban for diving after this.

It’s nigh on impossible for Mansfield to be in danger now. Doubt the bottom two get to your points total even if you didn’t win another. Even if so then all the others below wouldn’t either. My expectation is unless Southend win today then it will be over by the time they play Colchester.

With respect you’ve not been in the conference, if you think being relegated from league 2 from 1 is bad you’ve not even came close to the conference. It’s like being evicted from a sainsbury’s and being thrown into pound stretcher

With the caveat I’m not watching the game just seen the stats in terms of attempts on goal given Southend’s league status is so in jeopardy doesn’t seem to be much urgency. I understand their manager has been dealt a shit sandwich with that owner etc but at this point better just to throw everyone forward and risk losing by a few to try and get a couple of goals surely.
