Looking at the fixtures this weekend it’s make or break for us.

If we pick up any points at all you’d like to think we’d make up ground on one of Colchester or Barrow given they play each other, lose both and we’re 100% gone.

Pick up 3-4 points and we’re suddenly in touching distance.

Harrogate will fail once again to do us a favour this weekend. They beat us yet always seem to lose against our relegation rivals.

Harrogate v Port Vale.

Fair play and wish her well, it’s about time really and our club with a female owner I am sure will be proud to be part of that history on Monday.

I’d hope with 8 games left and the form we’ve been on we’d be out that battle now... although you never quite know with Vale!

You're safe. I was thinking about Walsall! We really need to get above them and Colchester before the inevitably start winning a couple of games between now and the end of the season.

You’ll stay up I’d think, in better form than most. Grimsby was a bad result at home and Stevenage are flying so no shame in losing that one.

Good for her. Got to be better than Trevor Kettle at least even if that’s somewhat of a low bar to overcome. Sure she will do well.

Harrogate is an odd one, they looked excellent at Vale Park in our draw but seem to be hit and miss. Just need to avoid launching long balls this time and get in their faces like they did us.

4 points and on the beach by this time next week would be nice!

Hopefully Bradford are really shit, we need to get some confidence back. Not confident though, they’ve done well under the two caretakers and were a bit unlucky not to hang on for all 3 points with 9 men at our place.

We're a bit of a weird team. Don't create much or score anywhere near enough goals but we're fairly clinical with the one or two chances that come our way.

Our biggest problem lately is our lack of central midfielders meaning Elliot Watt and Levi Sutton are having to play every game. That and since we lost our most influential attacker in Cooke, we haven't found the best combination in the three behind the striker.

I'd say the first goal will be crucial. We get it and we'll sit on it and try see it out. I don't like it, or think its sustainable but we've done it a lot since T&S took over so I'd say we're fairly good at it. You score first and I don't think we'll have the quality to break you down. Could see it being 0-0.

Barrow away for us! two real jeckle and hyde clubs both capable of beating anyone and also loosing to anyone, god knows how this one will turn out so i'll say a draw 1-1.

Zak Mills ruled out for the season so appears we have reinstated Harry McKirdy to the squad list which is a bit of a surprise. Not least as thought once the transfer window had passed this wasn’t allowed but apparently was wrong.

DC had spoke about how he thought he could get the best out of him before.

We went to the EFL and they agreed to it under independent medical advice on Mills being out for the season so guess is a season ending injury you can as long as proven.

Shame for Mills he has become alright under Clarke but let’s see if Clarke can tame McKirdy now, we know he’s good enough talent wise if he can sort out him being a bit of a penis we might benefit.

quite surprised we've been allowed to do that.

i don't know if i mentioned it last week but when i walked past training, mckirdy was the last one out there, practicing freekicks. maybe he had an inkling this could happen though

Mills has been out a couple of weeks now so assume so, does mean no actual right back until Gibbo is fit although Smudge made team of the week covering there and finished his goal like a hitman!

I guess it’s a caveat if you do get a season ending injury you can if proven swap them out as we had to get an independent medical advisor to prove Mills wouldn’t make it.

Clarke was desperately frustrated that he couldn’t have a crack at taming McKirdy, let’s hope the time out has shown his career is by a thread now and needs to actually just play his game and not upset everyone.

Hopefully for his sake he realises he is fortunate to have this second shot. It was quite feasible beforehand his immediate career in the EFL was coming to a close.

I’ve never been convinced by him, whilst he has some talent he doesn’t seem to produce a lot with it other than some step overs which lead to nothing. That said DC has had quite a habit of getting some previous under performers stepping up a fair bit so who knows if he does it here then can’t really complain.

Improved fitness under DC and better performing team I guess.

Assume we won’t see much until fully safe as he isn’t likely to dislodge the current midfield in terms of their performances at the moment.

I think fitness is definitely a part of it. You only have to look at how we press teams now compared to before to see how much sharper we appear since changing the S&C coach. Does beg another question what they were doing before hand I suppose.

DC clearly is intrigued by him at least. Hopefully McKirdy for his part keeps that planet sized ego of his in check and just focuses on producing.

Why the fitness was so poor this season we will never know but wasn’t a problem pressing last season teams to death (although a few games we lost leads late on) and chasing Man City for 90 minutes.

Is mckirdy anywhere near match fit to play for us? I know he played for Leicester under 23s a couple of months back and he may have played some part in the Hereford friendly about 2 weeks ago but apart from that no game time since November or December.

He’s been training so guess he will be as fit as Manny was, assume he will get a sub app or two first.
