Grimsby please, "done their time", we have a good record there in recent years, decent piss up if on a Saturday, and probably less likely to be as good on the pitch as Rovers would be next season. Generally had very good vocal support at the Abbey as well, which is a rarity. Bristol isn't a bad alternative though, thank fuck it wasn't either of the other two.

grimsby is a town where its a good night out on the pish
unfortunately though guys, all the girls smell of fish!!
bristol is a city where your either red or blue
and most of the women should be locked away in a zoo!!
so as far as which one somebody should choose
leave the women alone and stick to the booze!!

I pray Luton get relegated next season (or we go up) so I dont have to read posts 2 pages long about development squads or shitty rhymes.

Not to be pedantic but shouldn't class technically rhyme with ass?

Rovers; they've had a pretty miserable time of the past 20 years or so, would like to see them go up and surpass their neighbours in red over the coming years, who are the pretenders to the Bristol throne.

A for effort but must try harder!!

Despite Bristol being an easier journey, the Mariners for me. I know our away end is awful but Brizzle's is pretty poor - I'd rather go to York to risk a soaking - and I've not forgiven their shameful behaviour towards Wycombe last year. The positives for Grimsby include a good away day with friendly natives (in my experience anyway), CodAlmighty's 'never forgive, never forget' T-shirt (still got mine), a post-pub-crawl haddock supper in Steele's corner house when our match is inevitably rained off, again. And, on the theme of having served their time, for the Grimsby fan who gave us this glorious rant http://www.thefishy.co.uk/cgi-bin/forum/Blah.pl?m-1271541289/

Grimsby for me because the longer it takes for them to get back in the league and clubs like Lincoln, and dare I say it Wrexham, the more likely they can slip further down the pyramid like Stockport County and possibly lose a significant number of a generation of young supporters.

I know a chap who has followed Southport for years and tells me it is mostly old men watching them these days and a far cry from the days when they got 3000 plus at Haig Avenue!

I think I would prefer Grimsby, but both clubs are an equally distant to me, and both should not be in non-league (no birthrights, but they can't both win).

I think it comes down to Grimsby doing their time, although Bristol would be a new one personally, Grisby is still a decent away day. However, if they do get a result and Nathan Arnold scores, I'm abandoning our message board for life.

Nope, class is pronounced to rhyme with arse. At least it is until you reach the savage wilds of the North. Whilst there is not a 'right or wrong' as such with language, RP English (e.g. Southern English) is considered the standard English accent.

I am in the savage wilds of the North which probably explains it. I can't say I've ever even considered it being said like 'arse' - to me it's 'class', 'ass', 'grass' etc. - but there you go.

Grimsby for me.

Bristol Rovers can continue to rot down there for a while yet

I'm in the savage North too, so whenever I pronounce words like those it is always met with ''you posh southern twat''. Ho hum!

Usually I'd be inclined to say Grimsby, they've had a five year exile, they're Northern and they're a side whom I believe should be a member of the Football League.

However, Darrell Clarke is a very likable bloke and he has worked wonders with a declining club, making them hard to beat and re-connecting the club back with its disillusioned fans again, he's done a terrific job and is fully deserving of a promotion to add to his CV.

This is the playoff final I'm looking forward to the most out of the four, all four this year look very evenly matched mind but this one will be the most entertaining I reckon.

In view of Grimsby fans behaviour in the last football league game they played at the Pirelli stadium I have to plump for Bristol Rovers.
They were a disgrace to the town and football club.

And Rovers fans are f*cking angels? They're knuckle dragging thugs who in recent seasons have tried wrecking our ground 2 seasons on the trot, attacked a police horse when they got relegated and this season attacked a Braintree player, i hope they drop even further down the leagues into oblivion.

For me I'm hoping Bristol Rovers do it and I really think they will. Classic football ground even if it is a bit of a shed and a close away day for me next season

Obviously from that Mowgli they certainly aren't ! A no win situation then. Rovers fans havn't been bad on visits to our ground but Grimsby have which is all I have seen.

Grimsby have scored some cracking goals so far in the play-offs as well, Bristol as far as I know haven't.

Whilst we're on the matter, the pricing categories for the conference play off final are a bit mad. Only two price categories that I'm aware of, £36 and £41 then each ticket has a £2 surcharge and £2 p&p - this is ridiculous. Even the JPT final you could pick up budget tickets for £25

I am going to the game today. I'm just grateful that I will be a neutral today. My ticket was only £10 because I brought the voucher in February when it looked like we might of needed it.

Over the years we've had Bristol City and Bristol Rovers fans visiting us, City fans are a disgrace whereas Rovers fans are fine, so just to upset all the City fans I want Rovers, no offence to any Grimsby fans , however my son hasn't seen the Humber Bridge so that's an excuse to go to Grimsby for me
