Lol. You do realise every single Town player had been on a massive pissup for days leading up to that right? Really took the shine off getting promoted though. The one when you battered us at The Shay was a much better win.

I wouldn't confidently say that we're the best in any position on the pitch, but we've probably got one of, if not the, best manager(s) in the division. Carry on though by all means!
Leading up to what? The 4-0, the 4-2 or the Wembley walloping? You were pretty useless in all of them, so it's hard to tell.

Dude, whatever takes the pain away, fact is we LOVE playing GRIMSBY. :fl: :fl: :fl:

Grimsby mob, TRIGGERED! :fl: :fl: :fl: :fl: :bdick:
Too late, you've already been declared as TRIGGERED.

Obviously the Wembley game because firstly that's the video you posted and more importantly it was a week after we'd won at Wembley to go back up to League 2. The players were probably drunk during the match!

We actually wanted to win the 4-0 one I'll admit that, if you think anyone is arsed about losing the tinpot trophy a few days after getting promoted then you're sorely misguided. I wouldn't know if it was a walloping either, I've never watched the match.

Same here, I’ve never been to a Trophy game in all our time down here as I couldn’t give a shit about it and even the 2 finals we were in that were on tv I didn’t bother watching.

Different scenario I guess though for Halifax as that would’ve been the pinnacle of their very short history so no surprise to see B2TF creaming his pants over beating a team that had been out on the piss all week celebrating promotion.

Yep. Our realistic ultimate aim is probably getting back to the second tier. That's our Premier League. With Halifax currently in their Premier League, hobnobbing with the likes of us Chesterfield, Stockport and Notts it's probably a fair assessment to suggest that this match was their Champions League final.

Got my 1878 membership card the other day. There's a sheet of decent vouchers including take a mate to a specified match for a fiver, 2 x free pints in the new fan zone (which seems to have gone done a hit after Macca's testimonial), a free paper programme at any match of your choice, half price digital programmes for the entire season (£20 down from £40, which I'll probably take them up on), a 3 day pass for 2 to Oasis spa and 10% off a meal at Steels.

That's on top of the advertised membership deal which was being next in line after season ticket holders in terms of getting priority for cup/away games (ahead of stub holders), a free 6th ticket if you get to 5 home games and 10% off the club shop.

Absolute bargain for £25 if you get to 5 home games, in my opinion.

Nice to see some transparency from the club which has been lacking for years. But would also be nice if fans were considered in the decisions as well, particularly moving an away bank holiday game to a midweek evening game.
I thought you said it was merely an inconvenience and if fans were that arsed they'd make sure they got to the match?

It's shite from the club that. First clanger of the new regime/Hurst v2.0 (well...actually, second from Hurst in my opinion as Scanell will turn out to be the first). I retract all my vitriol aimed at Stockport, apologies.

I wonder if anyone at the club uttered the words "the fans won't like this" and if they did, why did they go ahead with it? Is it in the interest of keeping Stockport on our side for some reason?

Nice transparency from the club but it’s only gone to show we’re soft as shite, two decisions that benefit other clubs and negatively affect our fans.

I still maintain that, however there is no doubt far more would make the effort on Bank holiday afternoon than a mid week evening

A mid week after a bank holiday no doubt where booking the afternoon off work is more difficult than most other times for the majority

Tinpotters always remember the exact date, score, attendance and average temperature of all of their matches against Proper Clubs.

Given our injury list I feel we’ll be lucky to get 11 players on the pitch right now

Yeah never known anything like this injury list in a pre season.
At least when we start the season slowly we’ve already got a ready made excuse.

Fans are claiming it’s bad luck but over the past 2 seasons we’ve signed a hell of a lot of players with previous injury problems, I’m not sure it’s that much of a surprise

What's the point in having Hamez Hanson when LJL plays every single game ever they said? No need for both they said.

If we're having a crock of a has been striker who can't play 40 games a year then please give me the one who actually has a brain and a touch.
