Disappointed to come away with nothing today, thought the players responded to a lot of criticism quite well and deserved more. We started really well, got ahead and should have scored more, for the first 20 minutes or so we were excellent. End up conceding two ridiculous goals in a minute.

I think that is a pretty fair assessment, if Chester had a player who could hit the target with a header then the outcome might have been somewhat different. I have to admit that yesterday I thought Chester should have had a penalty in the first half, though having seen the highlights the tackle was outside the box, but only just and the player fell inside. I am pretty sure from the positioning of the Chester keeper for our first goal that he expected Frear to have a shot, but was completely undone when he decided to square the ball for a Parkin tap in and was reduced to the role of spectator. In the build up to the second we only had ten men on the pitch, one had gone off to change his boots after the first goal was scored, but the referee hadn't let him back on...the home fans were having a go at the officials to even the numbers up again, but were a bit surprised to see Marsh-Brown score so soon after the equaliser. I know it is always easier to say that you enjoyed the game if your team has won. Both sides served up a fairly entertaining game yesterday, that will last longer in the memory than many, and was in reality fairly even.

It was hilarious how we scored whilst the ref was refusing to let Jennings back on, and it was a lovely assist from Higgins tbf.

Once again a couple of our bookings were very soft, Sinclair's was just a genuine mis-timed (first offence) attempt to win the ball, which wasn't helped by the spectacular reaction from the Chester player. Quick word was all it should have been. Parkin's was even worse, contesting a header in the box, the defender hits the deck and stays down clutching his head, so after playing on a few seconds the ref rightly stops play as it was a head injury. For some reason he then suddenly decides it was a foul after all, despite having played on, and then to make matters worse booked Parkin. Then second half poor Jennings got clattered by their keeper, and was then booked for being slightly annoyed by it.

It's very frustrating to see a clean sporting side like us get so many cards and once again be doing so badly in the disciplinary league, especially when it seems all our players have to do is sneeze to get booked whilst the opposition get away with far worse.

Make Jim Harvey manager and you'll stay up.

Do you really want to take that risk?

National North wont be that easy to win, you could be up against AFC Fylde (if they don't come up) Stockport (likewise), FC United, Darlington, Salford plus probably one or two others with decent budgets.

It's a lot easier to stay up then it is to come back up.

Jennings cynically held Worsnop on the floor whilst the ball was floating in, clear as anything that. No idea why Worsnop got booked for it.

Well amazingly I was able to wake up this morning and find out that I wasn't dreaming. It's amazing how you can forget the feeling of winning.
But in the game Woking edged the first half and probably should have scored when Cunnington broke free but he decided to stop and pass the ball backwards instead. And our best chance fell to MBH who managed to miss from about 6 yards out.

But into the second half we came into the game more and more as the game went on and credit to Hockaday this week he made changes that actually helped and took a huge risk by making all 3 by the 55th minute.

Cunnington once again missed an easy chance as he headed straight at Snedker while he was free in the box. As the game got later Murphy and MBH really started to control most of our attacking play with the former missing a few chances before eventually grabbing his goal.

On the whole it was probably a game that could have gone either way but for once it went ours.

Also Woking are playing Matt Robinson completely wrong, he's not a winger and was ineffective from there, he should be played in the centre in my opinion.

My MOTM was Whitfield who once again was at the centre of all our attacks.

That'll be James Jennings, the ex-Kettering/Cambridge player right? Scumbag. There's a few reasons why Barrow fans hate him, but the main one was deliberately shoving a player into the wall that surrounds our pitch - could've broke the guy's neck etc, and our manager at the time ran on and throttled him. Sounds like he's still a c***.

He looked to leave his feet for an earlier challenge but the one on Ashton didn't look that bad and I was sat right in front of it. Would be a cruel irony as Vidal was clattered two or three times after that, quite badly. Still a shame for Ashton, hope it's not as bad as it sounds.

4-1 was a bit cruel on Barrow as we've certainly played worse teams this season. There was a hand ball in the run up to their goal though...

just seen in the local paper that Ashton expects it to be 6-8 weeks - one of the lacerations from the studs has slashed into and partly cut his muscle near the shin bone

Ouch. Sounds nasty.

I'd like to see the challenge again. Vidal isn't a malicious player but he does somewhat dive into challenges. At the time it looked like a contested 50/50. I could see the blood on Ashtons leg when he rolled down his sock. Big blow.to you that, you definitely looked better when he was on the pitch. Hes a solid player.

Aye that's him, Connor's brother I think.

Worsnop came out and punched the ball away (fairly) and they both ended up on the floor, Jennings then grabbed him and kept him down, all very cynical and all that. I'm not sure why Worsnop got booked for it really, wouldn't surprise me if the ref just blowed up on our justified reaction from behind the goal and didn't actually see it.

Judging by the exchange between the two on twitter, there was no intent and it wasn't a bad tackle, just Ashton came out of it badly.
He's been one of our better signings, which isn't saying much, but has sometimes been done for pace. Nick Wilmer-Anderton is the name that keeps cropping up to replace him, but not sure on the loan rulings as he's already had a loan at Aldershot this season.

2-1 win which we just about deserved over 90 mins, but we were awful for the first 45 and only marginally better for the second 45.
Halifax looked poor when i judge them against other teams we have faced, and i guess that's why they are where they are in the table.

Harry Pell - In answer to the question why did Eastleigh get rid - He was a naughty boy.
I'm sure it wont be long before he does something similar at Cheltenham & is bombed out of their too.
FWIW - The fans liked him, but imo, he's a 60 minute player, rarely ends a game strongly.

How naughty? You can't just say that without the juicy bits.

Halifax are definitely improving, far more organised, work harder and playing more as a team imho. I do think they will start to climb out of the mire.

Yes they looked organised and had 2 very good CH's (loanees?)
But they just didn't have much guile or creativity compared to other sides we have faced, so its difficult to see where their goals will come from.
Their 33 fans were very quiet.

Harry Pell - Sorry can't say, as it was all hushed up. But he's a wrong un' & a bad influence (allegedly..).
Maybe some Wombles fans will tell you why they were so keen to get rid of him aswell.

Is 33 an official figure?

I counted 33. They were only given the end section of our all seated stand, so were very easy to count and were all very spread out..

He can't see them to count from the bogs next to the boardroom, with his ear and a glass to the wall.

Thought I would join you lot.

Torquay showing signs of life, they ran their socks off for 50/60 mins and we were poor and werent clever enough enough to deal with that, but as they inevitably tired we took control and should have won really but it still took a goal of the season contender to get us bak in the game.
Impressed with the 100 fans Torquay brought, good effort that I thought.

Here is our goal.
