I don't mind Notts at all. Maybe it's because I'm from half way between Chesterfield and Mansfield but it don't see the rivalry. I'm sure most Notts fans don't really care about us either.

I'm just looking forward to the day out in Notts!

We're already favourites to win the league next season with Skybet.

With this our current starting XI who are under contract for next season its not a suprise:

Gary Woods/Adam Legzdins
New RB
Nathan Clarke
Mathieu Baudry
Shane Lowry

Dean Cox
Romain Vincelot
Lloyd James
Jobi McAnuff

Darius Henderson
Jay Simpson

But our club is in a sorry state, the Italians have totally ruined us.

At Leyton Orient, we don't expect the best football or trophies. All we want is stability, common sense and Honesty. The last 20 years of that all ruined by the Italians in 8 months :(

We will go down again next season.

One of my abiding memories of Orient is Ben Reeves goal to send us to Wembley.

I don't really consider Orient proper rivals, more a club to have a nice little bit of back and forth, ahem, banter, with.

oh dear Adam, you don't mature with age do you (Rivals forum), unlike Colin Slater, he's forgot more about football than you'll ever know.

I hope you get promoted, as I have originally said, our games with you bring out the idiots from both sides and the games turn into battle zones.

I hate them.

It'll be a decent day really. Pleased they couldn't pull off their usual Circus act and survive, but its more just that we've a local game. League 2 next season isn't a good one for Northern sides so to have one on our doorstep is a good thing for sure.

It's odd as its a local game but not a derby at all - hopefully we can get our standard 3 points next season there, has been a while

Never been on a rivals forum bud - there are a few Adams following mansfield obvs. Ive only ever done here and stagsnet - though another lad that Mansfield fans will know- adam soar posted on other websites like rivals and stuff as Adamstag - that was maybe a decade ago?

As for Colin slater - just what he said about league 2, what an idiot. Not the best way to go about life in a different division. For someone to have been following notts county and commenting on them for the extended period of time he has is impressive. He does seem to be stuck in a timewarp

I wouldn't have thought the wages mentioned by the Orient fans here would get them into the % turnover/wage rules thingy... although nobody seems to actually care if you go over it anyway.
What happens next season, more money thrown at it? a starting 11 on Championship wages and the rest yoofs? I literally can't believe the state Orient have got into after the hard work you had getting out of this division previously.

If the president (Becchetti's title) decides to buy a seat for £6million, that's £6million to our turnover...

What happens next season, this week will probably decide.

I couldn't really fathom Orient going down after being so close to promotion to the second tier a year ago. It really is a cruel turn of events but you get that with incompetent owners sometime. Anyway, I used to view this division as too low to get excited about but I see that Orient will have a whole new set of away games and I could get a job in Manchester so trips in the midlands won't be too pricey.
I do hope that Orient bounce back straight away though. Getting promoted of this division doesn't look too hard. Looks much harder in the Conference. I hope Rob's constant pessimism of going down again isn't actually realistic. I mean is there really that big a difference in level between the two divisions? Who's to say that the biggest budget will win the league? Hull were favourites for a decade down here and they took ages to get going.

All you need to do is look at Sheffield United in League 1 and Portsmouth in League 2, I'm sure they'll both have one of the larger budgets in their respective leagues, yet despite being favourites year after year they finish midtable,

Orient could go either way, but I can see why people expect them to be challenging next season with some of their players.

Yeovil and Crawley I can see being relegation threatened next season too, especially Crawley.

Notts County should be aiming to bounce back immediately, but I think they'll be play offs or midtable.

Pretty much that. I think Yeovil and Crawley will be at the wrong end of the table, Notts to be mid-table and Orient to challenge. Given how my predictions went this season though, it'll be the other way around.

Let's face it, if any side has any form of ability or decent players they should walk this league.

This season has been pretty poor IMO - we've only been back up 2 seasons, but I can't remember a league 2 as bad as this - especially at the bottom - this has been easily the worst side Mansfield have ever had - even the conference sides were better, yet we comfortably stayed up.

Maybe everyone else thinks the league has been epic this season and I am on my own, but i've seen so much shit at field mill this season (mainly from us) to convince me it's not upto much.

Thoughts?

We will go down again next season.

Our owner is a c***, he employed a CEO who had NEVER attended a football match before he came here.

He also dished out contracts to Italian players in their 30's who didn't give a shit and paid them insane money.

The fans hate all the Italians at the club, because they're all c***.

Non League for us next season, clubs in turmoil usually suffer double relegations, we will be no different.

Liverani should be sacked, but will be kept on as our retard of an owner trys to save face. The stupid c***.

Henderson on more than some teams entire starting 11.
Henderson + NotEnuff on more than some teams entire playing budget.

We'll still lose every single one of those games though. :£

At least there's a couple of new grounds next year!

Orient just need a decent manager, we on the other hand need to learn how to run a club. You'd think after 5 years it would improve but we just become more of a joke.

Adams Spencer and Nobsa should be too good for this league but the rest can fuck right off

Appologise Adam for the mixup, I don't quite know why but I'm looking forward to next season with optimism and renewing the matches with stags, I can see Ricardo putting a decent side together and the thought of Spencer and Murray (if they're still here) tearing a few teams a new one makes my mouth water, obviously playoffs minimum requirement.

I've seen a decent amount of League Two recently, there's a noticeable gap between the two divisions.

Over a ten year period, wage budget explains 90% of variance in league positions. May have the odd anomaly over the short term, but long term it's pretty accurate.

At the moment there's no way I can see us not finishing in the top 7, but we've still got a whole end of season/ pre season to go. Things can change drastically.

We have half our team for next season far as I'm concerned

???
??? McKenzie Hollis Adams
??? Noble Thompson ???
Murray Spencer

Bit of pace out wide and no doubt in my mind that side does damage in League 2 having seen a fair bit of League 2 football this season.

Our best line up from the contracted players we currently have is:

Simpson Henderson
Cox Vincelot James McAnuff
Lowry Baudry Clarke Pritchard
Woods

Subs: Grainger, Legzdins
This ignores Lowry is probably a centre back, Pritchard is probably a centre midfielder and that McAnuff is a left winger, but still. Would expect that team to compete without additions; although a goalkeeper, two full backs and a right winger should be priorities. Granted though our subs bench is two goalkeepers...

Anyone fancy Gary Woods or Adam Legzdins?

Well there was certainly another Adam stag on the rivals threads and also stagsnet - so as you can imagine their was some confusion - so its perfectly understandable you did.

As for you boys - it will be interesting to see how you fair - you had sides relegated like Shrewsbury bounce back up with ease - you then found carlisle and tranmere who had disastrous seasons.

The league this year has been terrible - unfortunately we were one of the worst of the bad lot. We are still shit little brothers from up the road we were last time we played one another really. A bit of pace will do for most defences.

The games between us should be good - a derby in theory but it so isbt one at all - just an excuse for a big piss up.

Who's ravenbish out of interest? Not familiar with the name.

Last one - are notts police as shit for county as they are for us?

Fucks sake, cannot believe Adam Stag is still a thing.

I'm oddly looking forward to this now after the disappointment of yesterday, League One has got boring. We should, theoretically, win a bit more at this level too.

Anyone else got a trendy foreign manager?
