Can we please be clear. Stockport County = County, Notts County = Notts!

Just to avoid confusion :)
Stockport County = County
Notts County = Notts
Newport County = Scum

Our takeover is on the verge of collapsing. Not a surprise really, why would an American businessman want to buy an English non-league club? That's our relegation to National League South confirmed.

Notts have arrived at at nice time, There's no Guiseley, North Ferriby, Histon or Hayes and Yeading to have the pleasure of.

Nowt special about Wrexham either. It's a dump with a stadium attached.

I was being very sarcastic from the start. Clearly you missed that.

I was playing along, you fool! Clearly you missed that. Did you forget to take your irony pill today? You'll have to do better than that if you want to survive down here, this is the sort of stuff we amuse ourselves with. There's not much else to get excited about. :fl::fl::fl::fl::fl::fl:

I’ve heard and been to Wrexham, I want new places however ropey.

You'll soon tire of "new places". When you've been to one Tin Potter set up, you've seen them all- the main "grandstand" that seats 300, the flat strip of concrete, they call a "terrace". The hut behind one goal, they call the "home end". One place we went to had 5 bus shelters roped together and masquerading as a covered stand..............

I wish you were right, however I genuinely think the only way we won't get relegated next year is if we go bust, which could well happen.

What's gone on there? Too much money chucked into achieving championship football or?

They didn’t chuck money in order to get Championship football. However, once they were there it was much more difficult for Yeovil to hang onto their squad and they didn’t have any money to put together a new squad that was League 1 standard once they’d been relegated from the Championship.

Sure this is true but, to be honest, once you’ve been to one quarter full 10,000 League Two all seater on a retail park, you’ve been to them all.

After coming to us, you will at least be fitter, after the walk from the station, climbing the hill to the ground & dodging around all the stanchions trying to see the game :)

No, we spent nothing at all on it, partly why we didn't stay up. The fans have always been told all our money is spent on keeping the club afloat - I think that's true to a certain extent but the board never ever say anything to anyone so no-one knows what else has been going on behind the scenes.

There's zero chance of our away terrace being opened at all next season.

Suspect the only hope you have is if you have someone like Notts, Stockport or Wrexham going there needing a win on the final day.

Probably worth us closing a stand tbh.

Think you will do? You could make that case this season most games to be fair, despite crowds doing well all considered.

If we get under 100 fans coming we chuck them in a block on the Ian Greaves, think it’s happened once with Crawley this season.

Dunno, our ground is laid out weird so I don’t think we can move the away end anywhere else without swapping it with the Kop again. Could probably close the Family Stand though, never anyone in there anyway.

Lol , I hear you but let me enjoy a few before I’m bored of the same old away grounds.

There are very few towns in this league that would be high up on a pretty town list.

That's very true. Harrogate is quite nice I suppose? Mostly dumps and shit holes though.

I do like the city of Nottingham, but County are based around the Meadows aren't they? They qualify.

Sandwiched between the soulless dodgy Meadows and classy West Bridgford next to the Trent. It’s a decent spot, official protest

Things getting worse for us. Just announced that Neale Marmon (our caretaker manager due to become Sporting Director and oversee everything) is leaving the club and returning to Germany.

We now have no-one to deal with contract renewals and recruitment for next season, no new owner and an existing owner who wants out.

I think Yeovil will be Okay, judging the past guests its County who will struggle more, a bit of a freefall and culture shock mixed with some crap off the pitch.

Still at least their disgruntled fans can have their ego massaged by the combover club.

Note to County fans though.
Do not talk about your founding member status (pretend you were some ex Northern League team) Do not talk about the first division (thats some bankrolled cheating fancy dan stuff) Do not hold rivalry with Forest or Derby (pretend you hate Mansfield, Chesterfield and Lincoln as they have heard of them) ONLY recall triumphs in the cup (saying remember when we beat Ipswich/Coventry/Southampton in the league will only annoy them) ALWAYS talk up your past after a defeat against a team you have "never heard of" have no dignity, blame their pitch, the weather, their owners, the ref.
Or forget these rules entirely until your second season down here, as, to be fair, Chesterfield and Barnet fans have seemed too dignified thus far, to want part in the combover club. Personally I think it could go any way. I know little of County behind the scenes, if they settle quickly they could just power their way back, but if not, it could go the other way... good to have you, perhaps our local rivals next season if you are not paired with Chesterfield, apologies for the stadium and toilets in advance.
