I think choosing the right manager is also key. .
Not appointing the wrong manager is also key. Not heeding this sound advice in our first season resulted in 7 teams finishing above us in the league that had a combined aggregated gate between that was less than half our own. The 2 sides that went up that year both went bust in the following summer. We all thought my God, were even shit at this level. But then into the darknes there came a great light, and lo, the Lord Aspin appeared before us surrounded by choir of angels. "Follow me" he said "and I will lead you in the promised land of the Football League". So we followed him and all our enemies fell before him into the dust. We Shaymen are his Chosen People. :hail:

Seems to be the Majority of the fans choice, Including mine. He is loved by everyone for what he did for us at the end of the season, we need to go with the right choice, I hope Peter is the right choice.

Supporters Vote on the proposed new club crest.
Thought I would put the options on here to see what you guys think.
(I've already voted for 3)

Badge 3 for me. Cant wait to follow your progress! :)

Me too, number one is a bit meh, two looks like an Australian rugby league team but the third is quality...oh, and likewise on the progress!

What crowds are you expecting? Around 900-1,000?
Because the last few seasons, the crowds have been so over estimated, they have gone very low, budgeting for crowds of 650. However, I think we will probably get 1200 average. but we will wait and see.
On the badge, prefer the 3rd option.

Beyond the first home game (where I could see upwards of 3000, given safety certificates being in place), I think a realistic number would be 1200-1500. Even when things were truly awful last season in the Conference, we very rarely went below 1200 at home.
(Except for a 651 attendance one evening!)

Three great badge designs there, wish we'd gone to that sort of effort instead of having this Clipart one but hey at least it isn't Eastbourne's.

3 > 2 > 1 here. 2's ace but looks a bit New Worldy like a Yank/Australian sports badge. Above all 3 emphasises that you're the same people and the same club which is how I'd personally regard yer.

I am, genuinely, excited about following my local side once again. Whatever division we end up being placed in for next season.
The first home game is going to be utterly mental. I am going to see so many people, who I stood with for years on The Meadow End, for the first time since the Alfreton game on 21st April 2014.
I may cry.

Badge 3 for me as well.
My wife's family is from Hereford so regularly visit and park in the potholed car park alongside the ground! Good luck with all happening at Hereford FC, hope to get back to Edgar street to see a game with Southend again (a very happy stomping ground).
Do you think the club can get accepted into Southern League Division 1 South & West, or will it have to be the tier below?

Correct me if I am wrong but I think Hereford are joining the newly formed Midland Football League - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Midland_Football_League

It will most likely be Midland Premier. Some great local fixtures for us.
A little bit of hope that it may be Southern 1 S&W, but just the one step drop is unlikely.

FA rules are strictly against that. In two ways actually.

1st that you have to drop at least 2 levels.
2nd that you have to start no higher than step 5.

Still the FA have made stranger decisions than that in the past. Not familiar with the step 5 area over there, so is there a chance of the Hellenic?

Can't get see us being that low, I personally see us being in the Midlands football league in step 5, but we will see.
Thanks for sharing that Jemfy!
