Bit late.

Gives new manager the summer though I suppose and gives him until the end of the season to work out the players he wants to keep etc.

Edit: Looks as if they'll wait until the summer to appoints someone (waiting for Warburton?). Harris to take caretaker charge.

yep, 2 months too late at least.

I always liked Holloway, even when he was at Blackpool, he just seems like a bitter old prick now. Hope he never gets another job in football.

Not really Holloway related but just noticed our last game of the season is at home to Millwall. It's unlikely but if were needed to win that game to get any chance of a play off position, and Millwall need to win to stay up, Molineux and a 3 mile radius around the stadium will be like a warzone.

Warbuton would be a good appointment, you would think Millwall have already got in touch with him.

Oh and fuck off Holloway you gobshite, scummer twat

I would imagine Warburton will have more appealing offers (If Millwall are indeed, relegated to League 1)

Gary Johnson? Good knowledge of the league, out of work so no need for compensation and he's a Millwall fan, I think?

Either Warburton of Gary Johnson would be ok by me. I really don't want Darren Ferguson.

They should give it Harris, Millwall through and through and they are clearly going to need a bit of time to rebuild following relegation.

I loathed Holloway even before he managed your shitey club, his lasher status added to it.

I'm certainly not bitter towards you non-league bound ***** at the moment.

Should have got rid of him after the First Norwich humiliation but better late than never. Allowing him to oversee and waste another Summer would have been disasterous.

If we have any sense we'll pull out the stops to get Warburton. It seems unlikely on paper, but he's London based, should get a lot of patience and support to mould the team and the club, especially at a lower level, and I think he'd be a great fit for the club. A dignified manager in the mould of Kenny Jackett. He could almost certainly do better than us, but he strikes me as the sort of bloke who doesn't want to be out of the game too long and relishes a challenge.

Getting back on topic... It's a club at a very low ebb with lots of room for improvement, the club can only go up really, and I gather the squad will likely be a blank sheet of paper in the summer for any new man to work with.

To be honest, it's not a bad prospect for a manager to take on. Would the board give the bloke a half decent budget to work with?

Don't understand why he didn't go sooner.

Paul Jewell is available.

Holloway was given the biggest budget in our history apparently so it depends on whether they Chairman wants to carry on at that level. Most of the horribly big earners are out of contract in the summer so either way there's some room in the budget. We also have a crop of hugely exciting kids coming through and in reality, a few years in league one might well suit a few of them (Onyedinma especially).

A decent appointment is necessary though as we've not made a good signing in the last 12 months, which is shocking when you consider the amount of money we've thrown at utter utter shite.

Harry Redknapp's dog.
Better looking than Holloway, cheaper than Warburton. Not by much, mind.

What are you taking about then? your singular season in the Prem that might as well have been 100 years ago for the good it's done?

Blackpool will always be the traditional laughing stock of Lancashire.

Fucking hell, your memory is very very short. I can think of nine single games which made you a laughing stock. Biggest bottlers in the country aren't you?

Same here - he was fairly refreshing in the Premier League and was always good for a laugh. Not sure I'd have been overly chuffed if he behaved like that whilst managing my club though.

I'd also agree that he seems to be living off that personality far too much in recent times.

The play-offs is literally the only stick you have to beat PNE with, losing them is nothing compared to the shite that goes on with your crackpot club. We've been pissing ourselves laughing at your club for the past two seasons despite playing in the league below.

The fact remains that our owner isn't a crook or a rapist and has pushed the boat out this season to get promotion, we've been promoted twice as Champions in between these play-off failures and we will have a squad this summer, with saleable assets that will leapfrog your club in the very near future.

Fleetwood are currently a better club than Blackpool and in a year, we might be saying the same about Morecambe.

I'm sure we are, doesn't stop the fact you are very bitter about the whole thing, no matter what spiel you put across about this and that. You're a fucking joke bottle club. And if you don't go up this season, you'll still be playing us. Garner and co will suddenly go. Grim times. Let's hope the play offs don't become an option!

Bitter about you being the worst club in the history of the second tier? don't think so mate.

If we don't go up then we will make a profit on our players, re-invest that money and wipe the floor with you next season. That's the difference.

We'll always be the bigger and better supported club, regardless of league position.

Every thread on this forum seems to degenerate into tedious sniping between Preston and Blackpool. Not looking forward to being in the same division as you two next season if this is what we've got to look forward to!
