March when he played for Doncaster against us. He wouldn't get in our side ffs

The game you mentioned where he actually scored and also played in a poor donny side aswel. He would easily walk into your side if he can get a game week in week out in the championship you idiot.

I disagree having seen Armstrong all season and Clarke-Harris before, Armstrong is miles ahead in terms of talent and he's only 18.

You've seen Clarke-Harris 9 months ago playing for donny devoid of confidence.

Totally different animal.

I saw Clarke-Harris play for us when we were scoring for fun and he was massively dissapointing. Really wasn't very good, massively quick though. I haven't seen him this season, he must have improved a hell of a lot of you're valuing him at £4/5 million.

He's improved a hell of a lot from last season, he had alot of weaknesses in his game which he's improved dramatic on, he's matured a bit aswel, he reads the game alot better now that he knows when to make the run, when to come short, he's stronger and holds the ball up better but the most thing he's improved on is his composure and finish in front of goal and the power he generateds in his shooting is unreal, there's just other little things that needs tweeking to his game like a better first touch and making the right decisions at the right time then he can go and play at the highest level imo.

As previously mentioned, we've got some serious shopping to do and I just hope we don't cock it up like we did last summer. we had such a good opportunity to build on the momentum of last season and had plenty of time to do some business but royally made a right balls of it!
IMHO we need:
Competition for Frankie in goal
A dominant / experienced defensive midfielder
An additional right sided defender (if Moore returns to Leicester)
A younger version of Wilbs to play up top with Kodjia
Possibly an additional striker to compete with JK and younger Wilbs as we are surely not going to keep Cox.

We could have and should have done all of this in the summer TBH.

If there's a good Championship keeper out there then I'd take one, probably more likely to happen in the summer though. A top centre back would be nice too. Mostly I'm just hoping that we keep hold of all our current players.

We just need our injured players to get back to fitness ASAP. Ashley Barnes and Dean Marney are two key players for us and it'll be like having two new signings when they return.

Sorry to quote myself but I' ve changed my mind.
Hopes for January? We haven't got any at all, we're just visiting.
Forget we've been here and we will return to our normal position in May. :hb:
Thanks for your hospitality, with Coco the stubborn clown in charge, we are gone.

Don't think we need to do anything drastic, were a million times better than last season and tbh we've got good value for what we've paid out in the summer. Injuries have hit of late in defence but I wouldn't say we need anymore cover in there, lees turner and Hutchinson all injured and we've just about got enough cover.

We aren't strong at right back, don't rate Palmer and hunt isn't great defensively, good going forward though. Few Wednesdayites saying we still need that striker, I'm not convinced, hooper is just getting to fitness and is looking sharp, the goals will come from him.

We're getting linked with a lot but I don't think we'll do much business this window, for once, we don't really need too.

Johnson Clarke-Harris and £5million in the same sentence we only paid £3million for forrestieri and Leeds the same for wood

Hopefully we can get a new right back and a left back.

If we can get Fer playing well again, Austin back fit and Sandro back playing regularly then I think we will do alright. However, there is little or no chance of that.

Depending on how Beckford is on his return (if we see him again this season) and providing we add a couple of players this window then our aim should be finishing in the top half.

Didn't think we would have a sniff at the start of the season but we're currently 2pts off 12th and 10pts off the play-offs.

I'd imagine you'll sell Austin now rather than lose him for free. Not really worth having him for the rest of the season, sure you might get in the play offs but given recent form that doesn't look massively likely either.

Trouble is, I do not think many will take him. Always doubts about fitness, and this year he has barely been fit - even when playing. Rumours are that we want 8 million for him, but obviously not sure how true that is. I think a lot depends on how we do in the next couple of games. Last couple has been pretty bad, but things can change so quickly in this league.

But I think realistically, selling him for 5-8 million might be wise, as he will not stay around next year. Apparently Palace want him, so a swap deal with Gayle would be good.

Austin for £8million is a fucking bargain in todays market. Especially if Jordan Rhodes is worth £14million!

He does only have 6 months on his contract though. I think he can afford to be quite choosy with where he goes as well. He doesnt want to move to Newcastle and wants to stay near all his family (again, only relaying on a ever so reliable message from someone who knows someone who knows him) so a move around here. So if it were only Newcastle in for him, I think he will stay like in the summer. I am sure if he kicked up a fuss saying he wanted to go there, we would have accepted the offer.
