Odd Robins... in all the time I've been a United fan, that has to be the one and only time an opposition manager has complained about the Brunton Park pitch, was he implying that it was somehow the cause of the injuries Coventry kept picking up?
Also, the disallowed goal, looked from where I was as though it would have been a perfectly acceptable goal but for a player in an offside position giving a little last touch when it was going in anyway?
I'm willing to give most of the players the benefit of the doubt for having an off day, as the midfield in particular were so good in the matches prior to that. Not so much Bennett, I think he's had his opportunity and would now put Miller in for him in the starting line up.
Finally on the topic of things managers say after the game. I think Curle blamed Hill's gaffe on the wind, I think most of us just saw it as a mistake by Hill thinking it was an easy gather for Bonham and so deciding not to clear it but according to Curle, Hill misjudged the flight of the ball because of the wind. Can understand though Curle doesn't want the fans to lose faith in Hill because he's been our best defender but has made a couple of uncharacteristic errors recently. I don't think the fans will but I reckon Curle is trying to protect him by still bigging him up as infallible.
