So, he arrived in February whilst you were in the bottom 4 and finished in May outside of it.

Then, you yourself predict a 15th place finish this season, a further improvement.

He took over a team in February who had won two games since September, without any fit wingers, an unbalanced side, unfit, ravaged with injury, low on confidence and with the worst defence in the division, probably the worst in the country. The transfer window had already closed and thus he had to work with what he was given. The only option formation wise, home and away was pretty much play a 5-3-2 to stop leaking goals. Once a first team player got injured or underperformed we were stretched to put anyone in in their place.

His first eight games we lost just one. We hit a stumbling block when playing five of our last six games against teams pushing for the playoffs or promotion. We still managed 50 points going into the last game and stayed up regardless. If anyone had offered 20th at Christmas never mind February most Bury fans with a brain cell would have snapped your hand off. The fact Clark did it with all the obstacles above shows what a good job he did.

Regarding this season, most Bury fans will be happy with a top half finish with maybe an eye on the top six. Anyone condemning a manager after losing the second game of the season against a quality side whilst our own is still gelling, and has suffered injuries needs their head looking at.

We've had plenty of bad managers here the last few years, kind of a shock when you've had the same manager for 15 years. Our recent incompetence comes from the top though rather than any one manager in particular.

We normally start well but fall apart after christmas. Playing a winger and an 18 year old attacking midfielder is never going to end well. Rotherham targeted Lopes (18 year old) in the second half and he got absolutely crucified. The better teams will rip him to shreds in this division.

We've got 7 league games in September and he's played a near full team in a match noone cares about in a trophy noone cares about tonight aswell.

I am going to admit I was wrong to back the man, unfortunately my psychic powers could not have predicted the man's stupidity in the transfer market or stubborn nature meaning he won't change his ways. All this didn't sound like it would happen after he harped on all summer about squad size etc. Also worth adding that I have not come to my conclusion after two games of football, or been on here squealing like a girl after every defeat like you and UTS.
