The blocked pass ruins it unfortunately.

John Sheridan on Under The Cosh worth watching, and I say that as someone who doesn't usually watch this kinda stuff.

And fury.

‘I had just damaged my hamstring and, during my time out, asked if I could go home and spend Christmas with my niece and our family.
‘The manager (John Sheridan) turned around and told me he’d just had a bereavement in his family, but I didn’t see him asking for time off. I just thought: “Do you know what, I’m not playing for you any more”.

He’s a proper tosser. Cheek of him to mention Cloughs drinking when Shez is a pisshead himself.

His spell here was mercifully short, but he came across as an unpleasant bloke and terrible manager.

Sheridan is the type of really nasty manager that apologists often generously refer to as "old school" or "no nonsense", who thankfully have been largely discredited at the higher levels and are starting to be phased out at lower levels too.

Micky Adams and Mark McGhee are two others.

Yea I don't think he's a very pleasant man. He had a bit of a nack of getting a tune out of players who responded to his kind of angry management style, but those who needed more of an arm around them or whatever, he was hopeless. He was also incredibly lazy as a manager I think. He more often than not did all his transfer activity about a week before the season started, like it was an afterthought. Had some of our more frustrating seasons with Shez at the helm

Yeah, you've listened to part 2 of his Undr the Cosh I take it? It's a weirdly entertaining listen considering how unlikeable he comes across on it.

I haven't got round to watching it yet but I will do.

Subject change, but I wonder where this fella got his info from and how close he is with these figures

Surprised not to see McCallum in that video on his unofficially reported £2.5k a week taking up 10% of our budget and earning more than the manager.

Think they've lowballed it a bit. It's probably Wrexham and Stockport collaborative propaganda, we already know for a fact that Mullin is on at least double what that video says.

Hmmm the figures sound about right. Although I'm sure people like Mullin have plenty of incentives and bonuses on top of their basic wage. Guesses of his basic wage being 8 or 9k week are a little far fetched- 4k a week is huge for our level.

I'm surprised Tshimanga doesn't feature. I'd have thought he'd be on a similar wage to Rowe tbh.

I thought the same, which makes me question the authenticity of the figures. Surely he's up there.

I just saw in the video bumf he took his facts from Football Manager 2022. If they were correct when I used to be play it then Cherno Samba should be living a life of luxury in the MLS right now after smashing all England and PL goalscoring records

Not forgetting the sensationally named 15 year old wunderkind Supat Rungratsamee from the Champ Man days

I suppose he could be on 1.5k or something, which would be about right as a higher earner in this league. I'd imagine player like him and Mullin have pretty good goal scoring/promotion bonuses in their contracts as well.

McCallum definitely seems to be an obvious omission too.

I've been playing a lot of CM01/02 lately (it's free to download legitimately). I've got a great Sunderland team, Tsigalko, To Madeira, Kennedy Bakiroglu, Mike Duff and Mark Kerr. All the legends.
