From afar i don’t really see what Neil Harris has done wrong to leave?

If i were cambridge and both parties swallowed their pride it would work well, for me he’s a good record.

It's not that he left for Millwall, it was the way he did it. Taking charge of the team after accepting the job a few days earlier, and then having a completely shameful go at a local journalist (fan and volunteer at the club as well etc) after the match for no reason, then immediately buggering off. After weeks before giving a big spiel about his connection to Cambridge and all that, then not even giving a mention to us until weeks later.

All it would have taken was a "I can't say no, and I'm sorry for leaving you in the shit before the derby, thank you for the opportunity".

Anyway, without the emotion of it all, I'd back Harris more than Monk at this point, but I doubt either party would have the appetite after earlier this year.

Your playing style is far too direct. And I'm not one for saying everything should be passed around the back etc, I like to see it mixed up but your style is genuinely just big high balls and crosses. There's not many players that enjoy or excel playing that way now in league football, it didn't seem to suit your players, it doesn't suit many players now.

We have played some decent stuff at times but as results have dipped and confidence has dropped it feels like the players are hiding a bit.

We've not had a settled defence all season and you need a good base to allow the midfield and full backs to get further up the pitch.

Most of our supporters can't stand this playing it about around the back stuff (Taylor & Richardson), but equally would be much happier if they could see some sort of a plan.

Wouldn’t want him anywhere near Mansfield, though hopefully we’d be deemed “below his station” or whatever.

Absolute fraud.

I'm disappointed he's been sacked. They might improve now

Hopefully their short lived glee at having beaten Brentford's kids before being dismantled by Liverpool will distract them from staying up.
Would be good to have another local game in the league if we manage to stay in it, plus seeing Pieface cry is another bonus

It’s being reported as a done deal in most places.

I guess it’s a bigger fan base, better wages, more potential in the club, so you can’t blame him.

Also it seems like he had a limited amount of control here as we have put in place a kind of Brentford/Brighton model where the “head coach” only has so much influence and it’s all very data- and Director of Football-driven.

Anyway, if it happens (and at this stage it seems so) then I can’t see how that isn’t our season torpedoed, even if the new guy is decent - there is always going to be a transition period.

So it’s great news for Wxm/Hudds fans.

Our ITK guy says he's taking Joe Low with him. We were very interested in him.

I don’t discount anything at this stage.

Again, I can’t begrudge Bloomfield the opportunity, but right now I just want to move past this and see where that leaves us.

It’s certainly not a popular move, as you’d expect when someone attached to the club for so long (playing for us for over 10 years and then successfully managing us) is allowed to leave without so much as a whimper, but we are where we are.

Reckon you could tempt Ainsworth back?

Not really much a club can do if a manager wants to go.
