I actually think we will escape. We seem to do OK against the bigger clubs but saying that, who knows. I'm not sure I want to stay up and have another year of this shit though.

As nobody has had a try yet, I'll go first. Pure guesswork and apologies. I had it ending like this:

Brentford 51
Blackburn 50
City 48
Huddersfield 47
Fulham 45
Rotherham 45
-----------------------
MK Dons 44

Sorry Dons.

Wolves could have big say on this since we play a fair few of those teams. Since we have nothing to play for I think we'll be an easy 3 points for most teams.

Taken into account Mark. It may be that you cut loose though and Smithy will bag a few for you. As mentioned, mine was just a guess and certainly NOT done scientifically, more win/ lose/ draw and gut feeling.

I think you've forgotten just how shit that league is in comparison to this one BCS. Why on earth would you be happy to drop back down to it?
Because we are fucking awful in this league, and unlike you we don't have a billionaire owner who could spend money and make us better. Just staying up is the best we can hope for every season. Absolutely fuck that. I'd rather go down and score a few goals win a few games and enjoy my football.

Fuck getting beat every week in a good league, that's no fun. I'd rather win some weeks in a shit league.

Wouldn't you rather survive up here and build gradually? None of us that came up last season expected it to be as tough as it is but we can all survive and build. Surely going down is admitting defeat isn't it WTGR?

Matt Smith, signing for you on loan by all accounts. Look after the big man, we loved him here.

BCS is in meltdown mode so that has something to do with it.
Personally I wouldn't mind us going down for my own enjoyment, but it would be disaster for the club as we'd need an entirely new team, the majority of our players would easily leave for other championship clubs. Thank god Robbo didn't accept next seasons transfer money in January

What's the order on what sorts relegation? Points - GD - wins?

Know in the Prem if GD and goals scored is the same they have a playoff at a neutral venue, don't know if it's the same for the football league

1. Points
2. Goal Difference
3. Goal Scored

If all are tied and it's not for a serious position than it goes on alphabetical order. If something is dependent on it, then it goes to a one off game.

I remember a few years go when 6th/7th were very close, and they talked about the possibility of having a play off game between the two sides to get into the play offs.

We don't have the money to build gradually. I just can't be bothered with it. We probably couldn't even compete with Burton next season.

I don't think it's that tough cha, we're sitting tenth having not got started for the first 2 months. You lot would be equally as fine if you hadn't stuck with that idiot Cotterill for so long too.

You've done a sterling job and I congratulate you for a great season. It shows what a good defence can do although I know you're a lot better than just a defence. :2thumb:
I won't comment on sticking with Cotts as we've done it to death mate.

Aluko is supposed to be heading to Craven Cottage judging by rumours.
Oh had no idea we were after him, is there anything official?
No bud, just read it on our forum. He's held in very high regard in BS3 but is from your part of the world. He's more than a big lump, I can tell you that so don't let his size make you think otherwise. He's a decent front man and very intelligent with it.

BCS's views aren't representative. The large majority of us woke up on May 3rd and knew we'd be in for a tough season, and probably a few more if we survive. We have a lot of youngsters in a team that's shown they can "learn" this division. We will improve if we can survive this season. The football in the Championship is so attritional and so physical. That shocked me, as well as our management. We (City & ourselves) both played a lot better stuff and faced a lot better stuff (in terms of flair and their attacking mindset) than we've faced most week's at this level. The football was, for want of a better word, prettier.

I never thought I'd see a Robbo team trying to put balls down the channel, go compact with two banks of four, waste time regularly away from home, force wingers to double up defensively etc., but that's what we've needed to do to give ourselves a sniff of survival. If we'd carried on the way we were we'd be ten points adrift from safety by now. It will change, but gradually, as we improve the personnel and the only way of doing that is staying at this level for next season and beyond. We possibly would be set for an immediate return if we go down and, as BCS states, the football would be more "fun" but we'd only have to go through the process of building all over again. No point in wanting that.
