tommy_b still succeeds in having 1FFs most appropriate avatar at least.

It's remained from the original Johnson time in charge. I'm yet to feel it's truly shaken itself from Bristol City yet.

I'd be amazed if a team goes down with 50pts this season, no one down there is doubling their current points tally in 17 games.

Still feel that way?

The way Rotherham are going they'll manage 13 more points. We're going to have to match that, I feel.

How many home games do they have left?

They've still only picked up 11 points on the road all season, and won 1 in their last 14 or something like that on their travels.

I reckon it'll take at most 47-48 to stay up, I can see Rotherham going on a good run of form but there are a lot of other teams I can see getting a lot less through to the end of the season.

Bristol's win over Fulham was massive, and I do still think it'll be one of Fulham MK and Rotherham to go down with Charlton and Bolton (really hope it's Fulham, though I'll miss the trips to the Cottage...), but I think there is every chance we could be dragged down into it as well.

Think Huddersfield, Blackburn, Reading and Forest will all be easily able to pick up the points they need.

Home to Leeds, Forest, Blackburn and Huddersfield.

Away to Ipswich, Bristol, Mkat, Wolves and Hull.

Lots more points on offer for us there, especially at home against teams who aren't playing for anything. We could lose 4 away games for me too as long as we beat you and Mkat.

Call me biased but I think there's potential for maybe 15 points from all those games.

Looking at those fixtures. you've nothing to fear in all those home games. Write off Ipswich and Hull and it comes down to 3 away games, the ones at our place and MK being the most important, for obvious reasons.
For ourselves:

Bolton H Rotherham H Sheff Wed H Derby H Huddersfield H
Hull City A Brentford A Blackburn A QPR A

I'm beginning to think we might both be on the road to safety TBH as we can get more than enough from those fixtures.

Tough run in on the road that.

15 points and you'd stay up with ease. You heading down to ours Tuesday week?

We're in a position now where we decide our own fate, if we cock it up from the positions we've been in we deserve everything we get.

Yeah.

Rotherham won't keep this up but think they'll do enough to overtake you.

15 might be a bit optimistic, you'll definitely be between 44-49 I reckon, it'll come down to a couple of games.

We've only got 7 points from our last 12 games (the away win at Preston might save our season) so I can easily see us only getting another 5-7 from the final 10.

We've got:

Blackburn (H)
Forest (A)
Bolton (H)
Ipswich (A)
Bristol (H)
Cardiff (H)
MK Dons (A)
Hull (A)
Fulham (H)
Huddersfield (A)

In some ways makes for nice reading, we beat a lot of those teams earlier in the season, and most have not had a good season at all. However, we spent a lot of time losing to teams down the bottom of late (Charlton and Rotherham being good examples) and we just don't seem to have the same ability to fight and scrap as these other teams do.

I can't see us getting anything from the games against Forest, Ipswich, Cardiff or Hull. The three fixtures that stand out as key for me are Bolton and Fulham at home, and MK Dons away. We get 5-7 points out of that and I reckon that should push us to safety, anything less and we are in serious trouble.

We should be able to get another point or so from the Blackburn, Bristol and Huddersfield games, and we may well need it a lot.

You're right, for us those two away games in a week against you and Mkat are the most important in our run I'm, no matter what we do at home.

Think it's between Fulham and Mkat personally but that's based on our current form, we could quite easily be wank after the international break if it goes to our heads.

I'm hoping for a lucky point Saturday against Ipswich while we're playing like we are, international break will be our downfall. Our biggest games are against you and Mkat, lose them and we're done.

Yeah I'm going and toying with the idea of staying overnight, stayed for the weekend year before last and couldn't pass up opportunity of another night out there.

I know probably a bit much that was based on winning every home game and one cheeky win away.

You'll be fine with your run in, similar to ours.

Looking at that these next 3 games are crucial for your lot. Pick up a win from any of those and you'll have enough, you think you'd be able to scrape a couple of points at least from the rest to get over the line. But lose them and suddenly you're in the thick of it entering a run of games against teams all with something to play for. It could be hard to turn that round, getting back up for a relegation scrap when it seems you're season's been over for a couple of months.

After Sat though it's Fulham I fear for. You always think they'll score but such a soft underbelly, as soon as we put some pressure on they went into their shell. More quality than the rest of us down there but there's no leaders in that side, no characters. You couldn't see that team salvage something from behind in a game or winning a big 6-pointer. So I think they'll be the ones to go

Us, we don't have a McCormack or Dembele who can score the goals to keep us up.

Think Warnock will keep Rotherham up, can only say fair play to getting him in, he defo does a job.

Think in the end we will get relegated probably 5 points from safety, can't see us staying up at all. Can't say I'm massively bothered either, roll on Peterborough and Northampton away.

I think MK will be alright personally. Five points from your last three, conceded one in those three and it was a free-kick.

Think it's between Rotherham and Fulham - would be funny if Fulham went down, but I'd like to go there next year assuming we stay up which isn't at all certain currently.

Brentford could yet get dragged into it, although I'm pretty sure they'll have more than enough to survive.

Our problem is we have no fight in us, as soon as we concede it's game over. Our record this calender year is played 13, lost 10.

You still beat us 5-0 on aggregate this season and got 6 points

You'd have to think that it's the remaining home games are key and after next Saturdays against Brighton then all the others have points in them:

Home to: Brighton, Wolves, Rotherham, Brentford and Forest
Away to: Fulham, Preston, Wednesday and Ipswich.

We probably need to win 3 of the home games and cobble together 3 draws from the others, and 49 points might, just might, be enough - particularly if Fulham, Brentford and Huddersfield continue their current form.

Crikey, you need something from Fulham away looking at that lot of away fixtures otherwise it could well be zero points from them as Preston, Wednesday and Ipswich are all still in the mix. OUCH! That Fulham v MK game is a big one now.
Brighton at home will be tough and anything from that would be a bonus, the rest are winnable though and you should get a few points from them.
Of the sides striving to avoid the 3rd relegation spot, you appear to have the toughest remaining fixtures IMHO.

I can't argue with that, but Hull, Derby, Middlesbro and Cardiff are all in the mix and we've taken points off of them in the last month or so. In fact, we've not been behind in any of those games.

Tough, but do-able.

Just put together a quick list of who's got who left to play and maybe MK don't have the toughest run in. With all respect to Bolton and Charlton, I'm assuming you're gone.

Blackburn 43 points: 10, 4H, 6A.
Home to: Preston, Huddersfield, Bristol City, Reading.
Away to: Ipswich, Brentford, Sheffield Wednesday, Wolves, Forest, Rotherham.

Brentford 43 points: 10. 5H, 5A

Home to: Blackburn, Bolton, Bristol City, Cardiff, Fulham.
Away to: Forest, Ipswich, MK Dons, Hull, Huddersfield

Huddersfield Town 42 points: 9. 4H, 5A

Home to: Sheffield Wednesday, Hull City, Birmingham, Brentford
Away to: Leeds United, Middlesbrough, Blackburn, Rotherham, Bristol City

Bristol City 40 points.: 9. 5H, 4A.

Home to: Bolton, Rotherham, Sheff Wed, Derby, Huddersfield
Away to: Hull City, Brentford, Blackburn, QPR.

Fulham 37 points: 9. 4H, 5A

Home to: MK Dons, Cardiff, Forest, Bolton
Away to: Birmingham, Preston, Brighton, Ipswich, Brentford.

MK Dons 37 points: 9. 5H, 4A

Home to: Brighton, Wolves, Rotherham, Brentford and Forest
Away to: Fulham, Preston, Wednesday and Ipswich.

Rotherham 36 points: 9. 4H, 5A.
Home to :Leeds, Forest, Blackburn, Huddersfield
Away to: Ipswich, Bristol City, MKDons, Wolves ,Hull.

I can't really believe anyone else is really going to drop into our shitfest row TBH.
Predictions?

Think Fulham will be fine. Saturday was absolutely mental but we rode our luck!

It certainly was Aaron, a blinding away day. I wouldn't swap our remaining fixtures for theirs though.
Personally, I can't call it.

At first look you would say that Rotherham, on current form, could potentially win all their remaining games with the exception of Hull (they won't) and you'd worry where Brentford would get another point (they will) and Huddersfield have got a really tricky run-in.

Plenty left in this.
