Well done to Bristol City and PNE for flying the league one flag proud, happy you guys have stayed up.

Hopefully see you in a few seasons.

:bye:
You'll be back soon mate, just remember how tripe L1 and how many games you'll win next season!

Yeah..this is over now. In fact, 5 points between 6th and 7th, 4 between 2nd and 3rd - this is shaping up to be a properly boring end to the season isn't it?

Interesting stat regarding Reading.. We've only won three games against teams higher than 16th. And the most recent one of them was 3rd October.

So it's only our ability against beating the teams at the bottom of the table that has kept us safe.

Fail to bring in a decent striker next Summer and we will be relegated IMO. We've been fortunate the past two seasons.

I know it's not actually over but it's looking dire for you now. All the best for next season. Nothing to fear down there as you well know.
I'm just glad we woke up in time.

Cheers, some local derbys next season and we'll actually score a few goals. Looking forward to it!

Even better when you get promoted! Some tasty games next season.
If it somehow happens us at home to you would be scary. Players so close to the pitch, shit segregation, some moron would do something.

Agreed, it would kick off big time at your ground I reckon. Think police will make us bubble to yours though. And they'll surround us in the ground.

Brighton don't play until Monday, so it's too early to say it's 4 pts between 2nd and 3rd!

Need more than a decent striker. I would get rid of most of the squad. Hopefully McDermott will be given a decent amount of spending money.

Yeah, against Reading. Think it's this coming Tuesday.

Yeah it is. Me and the 55 other fans going can't wait.

I think we'll spend money this Summer. Just think it will unfortunately come from the sale of Norwood. Should have some Blackman money left over too..

For the type of players we'll need, we're probably looking at £2m+ on a Striker, and £1m+ on a winger.. Which for us is a lot, even if teams in this league seem to be spending money like that on anyone.

Last Summer of Parachute Payments too, so decent investment this Summer and it will most likely only get worse.. Thai's spent more than I was expecting last Summer, so hopefully same again, we'll need it.

Please take Blackman back
As shit as he was for us for almost the entire time he was here, I actually have considered that we'd be better with him now. (Though £3m if spent well would be much better).

He'd be no worse than any of our front 4. We have a striker currently playing for us who hasn't scored in 44 appearances dating back to 2014 ffs, and another who has cost us £833k loan fee per league goal..

In the past five seasons no player has scored more than 15 goals for us in a season. Been years since we had anyone reliable to score our goals.. And in those five years striker prices have shot up to ridiculous levels.

You say that, when Championship clubs go down to League One with that attitude they have a shit season, I mean look at what we did in our first season, and look at what Sheffield United have been doing the past few seasons. They thought it would be easy... safe to say it wasn't.
