A Ks player on twitter says that its not the full story and that a fan may have gone on the pitch first. This story is still developing folks.

Accusations of racial abuse from some K's supporters on Twitter refuted by Bognor fans who were there. I must admit surely Mr. Shaw as a neutral who was right by the incident would have heard any racial abuse?

Rob Tolfrey could be in a spot of bother here.

Edit: Tolfrey punched by a Bognor fan beforehand?

Not sure I've seen anything like that happen before..

You should come to K's more often then... since 2009 I've seen Francis Duku punched by a Boreham Wood fan on the pitch, I've seen the Sutton goalkeeping coach vault the perimeter fence at Gander Green Lane to start a punch up with K's fans & now Tolfrey doing the same against Bognor fans.

Heh. I've certainly heard about it happening at other games, just not been in attendance. It wasn't a bad drive up to Kingsmeadow, so I may well be back. I think there's a little more to this story than simply a "crazy keeper attacking a fan". I'd give non league players a lot more leeway than their Premier League counterparts in situations like this. It'll be interesting to see what the repercussions are.

Keen to get in on the non-league hooliganism, and left unsupervised for the weekend, I'm going to attend the Hellenic Premier clash between Kidlington and Oxford City Nomads. Kidlington are eight points off the top but have two games in hand on titans Highmoor Ibis, so there really is no room for error against the midtable Nomads (who, frustratingly, have a home ground. They actually play at the same place as Oxford City, and have pretty much the same badge, so they are just a shit version of City with an inaccurate suffix).

Ryan Curtin is the one to watch, with 19 goals already this season.

As the old Kidlingtonian motto goes "Salire ad piscis hircorum".

Finger lickin' good.

Edit: Is there a better thread for this? I don't know my non-leagues.

Can we not have a Groundhopping thread DSL? Makes more sense and would give me somewhere to post if I do go to Hitchin/Harpenden/Ampthill before the season is out.

No, it's not. We don't want Smat's Hellenic League NONSENSE polluting our DELIGHTFUL Isthmian thread, even if Kidlington's badge does appear to be depicting a charming inter-species love story

Is there a canal/inlet near the ground?

I'll be at Highmoor Ibis' game this Saturday (they play the mighty mid-table Bracknell Town).

Oxford City Nomads are effectively Oxford City's reserve team. Kildington play in all green and Oxford City Nomads in blue & white hoops. You're in for a visual treat this weekend.

There is, and I was thinking about cruising down to make an entrance in style. I can moor up at Thrupp, but it'll mean taking on a lock by myself (which is by no means beyond my capabilities as a helmsman, but a bit of hassle). Otherwise I might take my bike, but I don't know if Kidlington's provision for cycles is any better than for narrowboats.

I'm pretty sure that badge at least belongs in the tinpot thread! I'll leave you the honours...

It's a long read if you haven't bothered yet, but worth the time.

One that will unfortunately and undoubtedly end in tragedy..

Aren't Oxford City Nomads an actual feeder side to Oxford City, but run in such a manner that it's an affiliation & not a reserve side, thus allowing them to be classed as a senior team?

Yep. Exactly.

They were 'Quarry Nomads' before the association. Oxford City Nomads also have a reserve side, which I guess makes them Oxford City's third side.

Oxford City are owned by a mad American and I expect them to get into trouble over the next few years.

Yeah wasn't it last season or the season before he came out saying he'd get Oxford City in to the football league & build them a new stadium in a ridiculously short time frame? I seem to remember some attempts for them to join the shit-or-bust club anyway.

Lost 2-1. Margate go top should they win their games in hand.
Cue the Margate fans signing up again!

Well I'll just say it in advance...

thanks Maidstone for bottling it (again) when I could have won £80 from a £10 8/1 bet.

Paddy. Lol.

Will you be at K's v Terry Brown's hired guns on Saturday?
Though I might take advantage of the half price admission for AFC Wimbledon fans

Still in our hands, not that it matters given how we've played in recent games.

Nope this Saturday I'll be at the Paddy v bullshit clients match taking place at my work. A repeat fixture that never moves itself for the Sky cameras & unfortunately never gets called off due to a waterlogged pitch.

There may even be some Tolfrey-esque antics at the end if they piss me off enough!
