I guess it will help that he already knows the owner. He used to play for Udinese no so long ago, an Italian club owned by Pozzo as well. This will probably take out a bit of pressure from Pereyra as he has nothing to prove to the management team, they already know what that player can give.

Also, despite its English skills, I think Mazzarri is a good manager :bg1::bg1:.

I'm looking forward to watching Watford - Chelsea.

Great victory last night. Higuain introduced himself to the Juventus Stadium with a decisive goal, good job! :2thumb:

Now let's focus on the transfer market, if we sign Cuadrado and a midfielder (possibly Matuidi) I'll be very satisfied.

If Pogba is worth 120M€ then Matuidi is worth easily 100M€. Your move.

Why is everyone playing in the evening today?

Pogba is 23 and Matuidi is 29, the age affects the price. In my opinion Matuidi is worth 40-45 milion.

I guess the transfer window final 8 days will be like a thriller movie for the Serie A.

I'd be surprised if Zaza wore our black&white shirt after August 31.
Also, Napoli, Florence, and Milan have to buy someone. Particularly Napoli, after losing Higuain, they can't just buy Milik. Come on! It was a 90 million deal! Is the owner De Laurentis or Scrooge?

We take on AC Milan today. Expecting a win but AC Milan is never easy. Hopefully we can stop Bacca.

Not a bad start for Milik that.

Looks quality, although if I was a Milan fan I'd feel robbed! They had 2 red cards and a penalty denied at the end. I have no complaints as we just needed to win but I hope we can improve very soon. Not looking great at the moment.

Martens has had a great start to the season.

Again with the late kick-offs! What is this nonsense? Have the league given up on 2pm kick-offs? Somebody explain this to me!

I think it's for climatic reasons because we're in August and in Italy it's very hot, it's not easy to play in the afternoon with 30-35 °C.

Let's pray that Sami will stay healthy the whole season (can't remember the last time he played a full season without a long injury). He seems to fit in at Juve. Great! Germany needs a healthy Sami Khedira.

Why did Crotone-Genoa attract 800 fans?

I read that, too but no explanation why only 821 fans were in the stadium.

btw: In a german online football mag they introduced this club before the season because it's their first ever season in Serie A. Seems that in Crotone on matchdays many people are going sick and have to go to the local hospital which is nearby the stadium and in the upper floors you have an unrestricted view on the field :D

He's either reading it or he's copying what he hears in the headphones but at least he had a go!

Yes it looked like he's reading from a teleprompter but it doesn't matter he tries and that's all that counts. That's what impressed me about Carlo Ancelotti for example. He was only a few days in Germany and in an interview he already tried to speak german (same could be said about Pep Guardiola). Others have Dolmetschers for months at their side and some even can't speak a bit German after years of playing in the Bundesliga.

edit: Dolmetscher = Interpreter. Sorry, sometimes I am mixing German and English :D

Juventus loses 2-1 to Inter Milan. Should still win the league but they'll probably focus on the UCL in order to complete this legacy. I still think Napoli will finish second but its not impossible for them to win it. The big steps though are getting at least 4 points vs Juve and going on good runs. Its unlikely but I don't think its impossible.

Pep took intensive German classes during his seasons off as his appointment was made public months before his start. Pep speaks very good German.

Crotone haven't won a game all season (and only got 1 point) but find themselves 1 up in Florence...

I've just seen this post (after a new one from today pushes the thread)
Pep took intensive German classes during his seasons off as his appointment was made public months before his start. Pep speaks very good German.

That's what I said. OK, that Pep speaks "very good German" is exaggerated but he could make himself understandable and that's an effort (you know what Mark Twain said about the German language? With this in mind Pep would need another 25 years of practising to master it (calculating with already 5 years practising ;) )

Crotone haven't won a game all season (and only got 1 point) but find themselves 1 up in Florence...

1-1 at the end. That's nice. Their 2nd point in Serie A. Inter with a 2-1 win against Turin (with Joe Hart)

Ronald De Boer sacked from Inter - really poor start and probably not helped by AC doing fairly well.

It's not mate, I watched the video before asking the question. The 'What if?' bit seems completely redundant. It's just a compilation of Dybala goals and skills, and while it's very well edited the whole 'What if?' slant is pointless. Initially I thought thanks to the Poland/Germany link the video was going to ask the question what if he played for those sides, but it doesn't. It ends up being a bit of throwaway information that has no relevance to the rest of the video.

Koulibaly is definitely one of the top defenders in the league.
