The pre-season odds which are clearly just a game of a bookies selecting the biggest team and making them the shortest price and then the smallest team at the longest price.

Great work guys.

The question I get asked is when I say I support Bristol City by some plastic tosser is - But what PL team?

To which I question them with an 'excuse me?'

They seem gobsmacked I don't support a PL team - unbelievable. If I were from a town which hosted a PL team - then maybe I would.
I get this a lot, so I turn round and say Man City, to which I then get called a glory hunter.

Unf***ingbelievable.

The fan in the seats behind the goal who when the opposition misses the goal stands up with his arms out stretched , just how funny does he think he is?

Where to start?

Probably with how football fans are treated as criminals. For example I know of at least three cases where supporters have been attacked &/or assaulted by stewards, only to be it's their own fault for because they're untrustworthy as football fans. However, some jumped up cretin of a steward has just successfully pressed charges against a supporter who called him a jobsworth and said he'd deck him. Not great behaviour, but this fella now has a three year banning order and a criminal record. The chaps alluded to earlier both ended up with injuries. Fair? You shouldn't be a football fan, it's your own fault.

Then there's half and half scarves, people pretending that the league cup isn't a major competition, usually after they've been unceremoniously ejected.

There's many of the things mentioned so far in this thread. Particularly "who's your actual club?" and the fact you can't have beer at a match but only in bloody football.

There's the fans who think own shit never stinks (nah he's a lovely lad, just occasionally leads with an elbow...or we weren't diving we just got macheted to death by your thugs!) and I can't decide if they're better or worse than those who seem to think that their league two side are tikataka kings and everyone is a clogger.

Or maybe it's those who cannot differentiate between long ball and direct football.

Maybe it's fans getting uppity when an opposition player dares to show a bit of personality ("I spent twenty minutes calling him a c...t, and he turned round and blew me a kiss. Unprofessional and disgraceful behaviour!").

Maybe it's those who think a player is the second coming, until he leaves, and is suddenly past it, a waster, or, actually a bit shit.

There's the cronies at the top trying to piss about with the game. B-teams, and all that? FRO.

There's EPPP, what a crooked system.

There's the way that FFP rules are set up. "You're overspending and that's bad for the game. Give us 50m quid for our Christmas do".

All seated stadia. However, this isn't as bad as those who stick their fingers in their ears and keep shouting "but Hillsborough, but HILLSBOROUGH" whenever the standing debate comes up.

In fact, the whole Justice for the 96 campaign. Sleeping dogs, but aside from that, pretending there is a sole cause to such a horrific disaster is thoroughly shameful. Still, if it's all the polices fault, I guess we can at least have terracing? Right?

I hate when things get called an upset, giantkilling or something similar when a club lower has beaten a club from higher up, irrespective of who they are. E.G Stockport beating Crawley, I'm sure they'll be dancing all the way to Marple with a famous shock like that...

In fact, I'm stopping there, this could get well out of hand.

Quite! You just be glad I'm not getting started on the Conference as an organisation or I'd be here until the snow's started falling!

Their fixture list is pretty good though. I've never known a league to make more sense

Didn't Sky Sports try and make out that Cambridge and Oxford were massive rivals in the 'University Derby'. Correct me if I am wrong but I have never seen Oxford and Cambridge as massive rivals. It's a bit like saying Chesterfield and Cheltenham are rivals playing each other in the 'C' Derby.

Not all poems rhyme , it's called a Free Verse I believe.... If you sing them there words to the Match of the Day theme tune they scan quite well

c'mon Richard no need to mock
it was a genuine question no need for shock.
there are occasions when I feel rhyme is best
especially if I want to get something off my chest.
but I would just like to get an honest reply
to the question I set from a knowledgeable guy.
do pardon me if at times I don't use verse
I just don't want feedback to get any worse!!

Having a player agree terms with your club - then gets offered more money at AFC Fylde. This has just happened to us!

Also for us - people trying to repeat the milk advert and putting on a scouse accent (or at least trying to)...
