I thought it was against the law to have loads of loans? Or is that just us?

so potentially JET, Gladwin and Luongo in the same side next season. Not bad at all!
JET didn't like sitting on the bench for us, can't see him starting all that regularly at QPR if he goes there.

He'll spend more times on the bench there than he did here.

I thought he had a top attitude considering the lack of playing time he had. Especially after he was dropped for Agard when Agard came back from injury.

Just because he presented a good attitude, didn't mean he liked the fact he was sat on the bench most weeks. And his dig when City did the Johnstone paint pot challenge as well, like soccer am where they say name and position he said 'Jay Emmanuel-Thomas, substitute'. No other sub felt the need to make a comment like it.

Of course he wouldn't have been happy to be sat on the bench every week but his attitude was to his credit throughout.

I never said his attitude wasn't good, just remarked that I found it strange it seems he could be off to another club where all he will probably do is sit on the bench.

Don't see why he wouldn't be first choice. He's good enough for the league, Austin will probably go and Zamora's been released I think? Can't remember who else QPR have, off the top of my head.

Cash, they have plenty of cash. I expected them to buy their way back into the premier league (again) or at least try. I can't see them going with JET as a starting player when he couldn't start for us in the division below.

That was in good humour, made me laugh anyway

Well I, for one, am gutted that JET won't be in the squad next season. He's an outstanding talent, a real flair player, and his record of goals and assists speaks for itself - especially when you take into account the number of times he was brought on as a substitute late in the game. He and Freeman both have that rare ability to unlock a defence and create chances, and he has demonstrated he is also a clinical finisher. I simply don't understand the decision to let him go.

well the rumour going round was that Ipswich paid some of his wages over the 2 seasons, if we wanted to extend his contract we'd have had to pay full whack on his wages, something the club couldn't afford.

I wasn't aware of that aspect, And I guess it is relevant, but Steve Lansdown has in the past been very willing to fund players likely to contribute not only to an attractive and entertaining playing style but also to produce successful results on the field. It would've been worth the spend to keep Emanuel-Thomas at the club. His record is phenomenal. He and Sam Baldock scored 47 goals between them the previous season, behind only Suarez and Sturridge and Aguero and Negredo as the most prolific strike pair in the football league, and last season during the period when he started games with Matt Smith, they were together the number one most prolific striking partnership in the league. It's not just the goals he scores, it's the goals he creates either through direct assists or by taking up the attention of defenders.
I am certainly not going to criticise Steve Cotterill, and I appreciate there must be reasons behind his very disappointing decision to release such an outstanding and productive talent, but I'm still gutted that JET won't be in the squad next season!

Lansdown has said he won't do that anymore though, we are trying to be more sustainable so paying someone outside of our wage range would be a big no. Money talks, part of the reason we sold Baldock too. I've said all along wait and see who Cotterill brings in before judging letting JET go.

As Bury are signing up every forward who has ever divided opinion on here, on the offchance that the Flitcroft Random Algorithm for Flourishing Forwards hits the jackpot, JET will no doubt end up at Denied-permission-to-stage-a-Gig Lane with Clarke, Pope, Lowe et al.

To be fair, they're a lot less tinpot than QPR, though...:)

The most pointless article I have read for a while...

Realistically though, I would be surprised if JET ends up in League One because I would take him at MK. It isn't far for him to commute if he wants to move back to London and he would certainly be a better option than some of what we already have.

TBH The Burton Mail are known for posting incredibly pointless articles, particularly when it comes to football.

They make up stories when nothing in the town is happening. This is one of them.
Last year it was Jamie vardy as he drove through the town once to get petrol.

Such a SERNWA of a club.

To be fair I don't really understand the hatred that everyone has towards them. Think people just like to jump on the hate bandwagon. Just like with your club really, you franchise bastard ;)

The only thing I have against them is their goal music and tendency to sign scummy (not you ) managers/players like Warnock, Holloway, Clint Hill, Joey Barton. Good ground though and fans seem alright, although I've never interacted with any of them

I've sent him a gert soppy message on Messanger - he'll be dearly missed.

He'll certainly be receiving a standing ovation from me when he makes his return to AG, and I'm sure many others will be joining me in that.

Good luck JET, it's not right seeing you in blue and white :(
