He needs to start from the half way line next time.

Yeah....sure.
Pretty sure he missed one earlier in the season doing that?
He hasn't yet - but now I can afford to chuckle when he does eventually take one, as it'll be for another club!

It's not only the technique of the penalty, it's how accurate the placing is!

On Sunday, the keeper stood his ground, went the right way, but it was perfectly in the corner - he'd have done incredibly well to of saved it!

What I'd do to have him in a Crewe shirt again.

Not disputing he may be decent but he looked gash when he played for us.

Saying that we played gash football under Graham Westley.

So, letting JET go and keeping Wilbs for the championship :eyes:

Hmm, I know which I'd prefer.

Me too :(

TBH that goes for Agard and Matt Smith too......JET is better than all of them IMO.

But it is what it is.

Seems I'm in the minority thinking we'd have done worse with JET playing more then. I feel the team as a whole works better without him.

Now this gets bandied about quite often, but I would ask Where is your evidence?
When Wilbs and Agard were out injured did the team suffer with JET in the side?
Games since then, would you not agree that in certain games City only really looked threatening when JET was brought on?
And the last couple of games when JET has played in Wilb's place?

Sorry, but I really don't agree with your argument.

Not an argument just an opinion of mine, same as people can't prove we'd have done better if he'd played the whole season, just an opinion. He and Smith seemed to link up brilliantly, just one of those things where it clicked, JET worked well coming off the bench but when he plays 90 mins regularly he goes missing often from what I've seen.

Wilbs has promoted two clubs to the top flight in his last two seasons in the Championship (one of which, like you, had a squad of League 1 players). JET helped Town to their lowest league finishes in 50+ years. There's no contest.

Not think it's a coincidence that we started JET on Sunday, and we scored 8?

Fair shout but when he was with us I never thought of him that highly and given the choice, next season with us in the championship, I would take JET over Wilbs.

Not think its a coincidence we didn't concede 2 when JET didn't start at Bradford and we scored 6?

Poor example considering we scored 6 at Bradford and didn't concede? Maybe as we pressed more? Think it's time to move on. We won the league, he played his part (not a big part) and at no time did we rely on him, so don't think we've massively lost anything. Well except some entertainment.

Regardless of what happened at the back - we scored 8, and most of them went through JET.

Okay - I'll move on, but it's not denying the fact JET is a cracking player, and we were wrong to let him go IMO - but who would I be to a man who has taken us from the bottom of L1, to the top of L1 - as well as winning the JPT.

I'll trust it for that sake.

Imo there is no way Wilbs will be our main striker next season. Think we will buy at least 2 tbh.

Depends who we sign then, could sign 1 first team one and see how Wilbs/Agard do if they struggle try loaning someone in.

TBH i'm disappointed, i'd take Jet over Wilbs and Agard, and i think it would have been worth playing him a bit in the Championship, as he's able to hold the ball up really well, so if we're winning 1-0 we have a player that can hold the ball up nicely. But oh well, i guess i'll have to get over it.

Wouldn't mind seeing Matt Done or Jamie Murphy at Ashton Gate next season as starting strikers, they teared us to shreds when we faced them at the gate.
